Tomorrow is Another Day

Today was well… just a day really, but it just wore me down!

The girls are trying at the moment…lots of whining that does my head in and I know I don’t deal with it at all well. It’s like there is no pleasing them some days and today was one of those days.

“shoes off” … fine but we are outside and the grass and tanbark are prickly so it will hurt your feet…. “shoes offffffff!!!!!!!” So off come the shoes and of course then she doesn’t want to walk because it hurts her feet! Then the other one wants her shoes off!!!!

“something eat”…. ok do you want a biscuit? “no no” … do you want a banana? “no no”… do you want a sandwich ? “no no” … ok what do you want to eat? “pineapple” we don’t have any pineapple how about a fruit bar? “no no PINEAPPLE”.

*sigh*

I know, I know, they are two I should expect this kind of stuff… I’ve studied this kind of stuff, dealt with this stuff before…. but that was someone else’s children and I could go home when my shift was over. Here my shift is never over and it breaks my heart that I can’t give them everything and then some.

On the subjects of hearts…. no news on that front. A biopsy showed a slight improvement but not enough to stop bypass and bring him out of the coma. So we are still waiting and hoping.
