Grumpy Glorias

We are all bloody grumpy here today…. can’t think of a thing to blame it on either… full moon? But that was last night! PMT? no next week!

The girls are grumpy… Zoe woke at a refreshing 6:23 am this morning which made us all grumpy! And she has had no sleep at all today and she sooo needed it! I know The Baldy Boy was just trying to help and it was mostly my fault because I didn’t hear her cry out but he assumed she’d had sleep (well der she’d only gone down less than half an hour ago and you ignored me going in and out and all the chatter!grrrr) and got her up and dressed. So lovely of him to help but bloody hell she needed that sleep! Of course she wouldn’t have a bar of going back to bed after that and then, since I was too grumpy to play with her (read slack!), she went and woke Izzy! Izzy is sooooooooooo grumpy when you get her up before she is ready!

So ofcourse I was grumpy, the girls were grumpy and so the Baldy Bot decides to go outside and mow… ever so helpful of him!

I so wanted the afternoon to finish this damn Christmas kit but I spent most of it breaking up fights between the two girls and trying to decipher exactly what was being said through the tears and tantrums…. and ofcouse since I was grumpy I was less than patient with them, so add some guilt to that grump and you have a lovely combination!

Baldy Boy eventually comes in, grumpier than all of us because he can’t get the bloody mower to work! GRRRRRR! Bloody stupid thing breaks down every second day! And ofcourse no mowing got done so he couldn’t take the stars stakes from the rock markings to build the temporary fence around my vegie garden to save it from the giant hare that just looks and me and laughs while it eats my new corn sprouts!!! Did you follow any of that? never mind it just means we were all grumpy!

Then the cheapo taco seasoning is spicier than the usual stuff and not nearly as nice…. not happy about that! In the middle of making dinner my sister-in-law calls… can we convince her Mum to let her get a cat… NO BLOODY CATS! And at dinner Zoe decides there is something wrong with her mouth and makes a myriad of funny faces inbetween blood curdling screams and tears and mouthfuls of food. It was at about this point that I lost it… and started to giggle. I know, I know… not nice to laugh at your child who is obviously in some discomfort but she was making funny faces and I couldn’t help it! You know that hysterical giggle that starts for no good reason and you just can’t stop?…. You can imagine how grumpy that made poor Zoe!

After dinner Baldy Bot is still grumpy about the mower and I can’t do anything right.. I put the lid on the compost bucket which was the worst possible thing I could have done! So he stomps around cleaning up but actually leaves toys and junk all over the floor so I have to do all the picking up while he baths the girls so I can sweep and mop and I miss my bath… grumpy!

Zoe decides her mouth really is sore and that it hurts to have milk… but she wants milk… but it hurts… but she REALLY wants milk… but it hurts…. so we are both grumpy, and Izzy is grumpy because it is taking too long to be her turn. I finally convince Zoe to have a drink of water instead, feed Izzy and get them both in bed… sigh.

The phone rings - S.A. who just needs a chat, no problem with that, except that I really wanted to use that time to finish this damn kit that is still hanging over my head and at this rate won’t be finished by Easter! But we have a nice chat anyway, until Christmas pops up and I am frustrated by wanting to be in four places at once and about things not turning out as planned! GRUMPY!

And my star stamp overlay looks crap! And I want more hours in the day and more motivation to use them!

And… and … and… I am GRUMPY!!!!!!!!!
