Happy New Year!

Well it is that time of year again… New Year’s Day.
I always think I should do something totally fabulous for New year’s eve but hardly ever do. I can count on one hand how many truly great New year’s eves I have had. One pretty good one in recent years involved a tent, Si and I and Carl and Tracey a pack of cards and lots of farting!!! This year wasn’t as specials that, but it was nice none the less.
Mum called mid morning and suggested we go over there to beat the heat (was roasting in our house) so we did, with plans of going swimming at a friend’s near by. But their house was cool downstairs so Mum took the girls outside to play under the hose, Dad took photos, Si slept and I downloaded goodies I had ordered from the digi chick and DSH! Plus Mum cooked dinner and then bathed the girls while Si and I escaped to the movies… bliss yet another night out on our own!
We saw Narnia which was great, but I was surprised at how many fairly young kids where there. It so wasn’t a kids movie… quite scary and violent in places… I wouldn’t want my 7 or 8 year old watching it. But still, we enjoyed it and got home about 11:30 and sat and watched the fire works on TV before I crashed at about 12:01am. Ha ha I think I am officially old now :)
Resolutions… I posted a few on AB… but really need to think them through more. I’d really like to do a LO about them as they are more feelings or aspirations rather than set goals so to speak. I love this LO on Ali Edwards blog…. It’s paper but I so want to scraplift it digitally so am putting that on my to do list for this week (you’ll all die of shock if I actually manage it!) Oh wow there are sooo many inspiring things in her blog you have to check it all out!
I am totally in love with this Art journal idea that I stumbled across while reading the very inspiring Kristy Ann’s blog. She does such awesome work and this idea really spoke to me so I am planning to nip into Office Works to look for a new ‘journal’ book when we go up to the city on Tuesday and see where it takes me.
And one last thing for the new year!
Due to unforeseen circumstances my Christmas kit hasn’t made it to the store at DSH… so I’ve decided to share it with anyone who reads my blog (especially those who comment :) so for a limited time you can download it here! This is a ‘yousendit’ link so it will expire after a certain amount of download/days so get in quick. This is definitely a first come first served thing and please leave me a comment if you download the kit and better yet let me know if/when you use it. Hopefully it will eventually make it up at DSH so anyone who misses out here will be able to get it there at a VERY reduced price.
Ok that’s it… hope everyone has had a wonderful first day or 2006!
