Friends Far and Near

It’s been a normal week really around here… busy but not busy.

I just bought home two very cranky and whiney girls. As we got to the front gate they were both crying for Daddy who had already left for work and I figured it was going to be a long few hours between then and bed. We pulled up to check the letter box and wow! Some lovely friends just make the girls day and saved my bacon!!

The girls got a postcard each from the gorgeous Mitchell who has recently moved about as far away from here as possible and still be in the same country… well almost! The girls were SO excited. Izzy told me that Mitchell was her ‘greatest far away friend’ and Zoe was very impressed that he ‘drawded something for me!’. It was just what was needed to break the whining and give everyone something happy to contemplate.

Good friends are very precious creatures and it seems this week I’ve been reminded of that in both good and bad ways. So just figured I’d blog it..

No matter how far away you are, no matter what stuff you are dealing with, good bad or just the everyday, no matter if we saw you yesterday or not for months… I am very lucky to have such good friends and I am very thankful.

What a lovely thing to do! Amazing how such a relatively simple thing can just turn a day around! :o)

    Beautifully written Kate!

LOL on the postcards, it goes to show that the truly special things are those with which thought and love have been put into…does that makes sense…probably not, but I know what I mean LOL!
