More of Muski

July 1, 2007

Muski mosaic, originally uploaded by katefb.

I know I know.. I have been slack with the photos. But really we haven’t taken that many. Yes.. shame on us… but seriously there is the time factor.. you know, having none of it. Plus the dark dreary winter days, this house has NO decent light in winter. So here is a selection anyway. If you click on each photo I think it sends you to my flickr page to see it in it’s entirety, rather than chopped square to fit the mosaic.

And yes, the baby boy is still un-named. I am really struggling to come up with anything I like, and the few I do like The Baldy Boy doesn’t like! Typical! I think what is throwing me is that he is so fair… I guess I expected him to have dark hair like his sisters did. Mind you their dark hair all fell out and is now mousey brown… but I think all along I just imagined this baby would look like the girls did when they came home, and boy I was so wrong!

Do feel free to post a comment with name suggestions.. just don’t expect me to like any of them!

So we are all settling in to being a family of five… eek! FIVE!

The girls are back to their old selves.. save for some shocking showing off and attention seeking when we have visitors, which is to be expected I guess. Oh that and the amazing amount of junk their father lets them consume and the terrible TV he lets them watch! Because of course it is all his fault!

They are currently amazing me with their computer skills. After upgrading this PC we decided it really was time the old one was set up for the girls. So we bought an el cheapo CD full of games (most of which the baldy boy and I are enjoying!) with about ten or so preschool games and getting to know the PC game. I expected the girls to be mush more frustrated and slower to pick up both the concepts behind the games (they are matching, letters, colours etc) as well as the computer skills, but no way! In less than a week they can confidently play all the games on their own and I am amazed at how smart they are! They are not even fighting over the PC and are pretty much consistently sharing and helping each other… it is almost scary!

In other news… l am slowly putting this PC back together after it’s upgrade. It is running like a dream (oops hope I don’t jinx myself saying that) but it is amazing how much software you accumulate over time and don’t even realise it until suddenly you have to start again from scratch! I’ve got PSCS2 back on here, but none of my brushes or actions as yet… I am pretty sure I managed to save them all before the PC died. I know I got all our photos and all my scrap stuff but there is sure to be something I really want that I have missed… but such is life I guess.

Eventually I hope to be back together enough to scrap again, and maybe even design something. The week without the PC I managed to dream up heaps of ideas (as you always do when you can’t do anything about them) so now just need to be motivated enough to get some happening…. thankfully the baby boy sleeps in his hammock behind me while the girls play on the PC next to me… so maybe it isn’t totally wishful thinking that I might get something done soon!

Time to feed the monster again…

He is just gorgeous! Soooooo fair! He looks Nordic, and also he looks huge! You are doing such a great job!

Hmm…. I like heaps of names, but Dh doesn’t like any of them. One of the ones I like but Dh doesn’t is Eliot. He keeps saying “E.T Phone Home” LOL!

I can’t give away any others in case I manage to turn Dh around to my way of thinking LOL! Muski is gorgeous anyway, whatever his name is!

Ah, so the fair hair was a surprise to you too! I was so sure your girls were dark haired, LOL…

Well, of course, I think Lukas would be the prefect name for a little blondie born on the 25th of June – bringer of light (in the dark of Winter) and all that Jazz, and erm, ran it by Luey and he thinks that would be a marvellous idea too…

But no pressure, pmsl!

And failing that, I’m still partial to Umski, Skimu, Kismu, Simku, Musik, Iskum, Misku, and Uskim…

He’s adorable! :o)

My boy name was Dashiell (Dash for short) but DH wasn’t having a bar of it, he wanted Edward and that was it. I know that’s of no use to you at all….

Kate that is one handsome boy! He looks so hugable.

I always liked Aidan as a boy’s name – it’s Gaelic and means little fire – it always seemed like a nice strong name :) but I had two girls so Aidan had to go LOL.
Take care and enjoy your family of 5!
