Refugee Chooks

These are the latest refugee chooks to join us at the Pickle Farm. Another four Isa Browns, very much like the remaining four we rescued from certain death (well ok that is probably a tad melodramatic, but they are ex battery hens…) when we first moved up here. The chook’s old house has been sold out from under them and their owner is downsizing so they have come to live out their egg laying days with us and retire into the orchard.

Now we need four names…. much to my girls disgust Cinderella and Tinkerbelle are not on the list!

Awwwww… If I was a chook, I’m sure I would want to be called Cinderalla or Tinkerbelle ;)

What about names that come from a known group of 4 already ie: beatles, wiggles, abba, etc etc. Or you could start working towards a collection of the seven dwarfs maybe?? LOL :)

Cinders, Tink, Blondie (Snow White) and Fee (Fiona from shrek)

Aphrodite (Goddess of Love and Lust), Artemis (Goddess of the Hunt and Kill, and also of the moon),Athena (Goddess of Heroics) and Ananke (Goddess of Fate and Destiny) or Aphaea (a fertility Goddess)
