I’ve never yet had one say “mama” first. I swear my husband must wake them up all night to practice “dada”!

Mum is the last thing my kids say and then when they start, I wish they wouldn’t say it so often…

    Mum, Maddy hit me
    Mum, where are my socks?
Mum can I have some afternoon tea please?
    Mum, wake up!
Mum can you take me to so and so’s house?
    MUM!!!!!!!

More of the gorgeous Muski though. *SIGH*

    Beautiful pic of your son!
My little guy is too little to speak just yet, though he is full of raspberries and ba ba baas. Daddy keeps after him to say ‘daddy’ but it hasn’t happened yet. I swear the little guy doesn’t even know who Mummy is. :(

our speech therapist told me that it’s actually to do with ‘ma/mu’ being harder sounds to say. I felt vindicated after that about my children’s refusal to say MUM first. Told my hubby twas just a fluke of freakin nature that ‘dad’ was said first and only because he was ‘easy’ ;) lol

lol That’s very cute, if not a little annoying for you!
It’s true, once they start it’s not long until you’d love for them to stop, just for 5 minutes!

    Haha how sweet!

(Sounds just like the conversations my son and I have, too)

    :)

I know what your talking about!!!! My little princess’s first word was dad too. It took her forever to say mum…

Ok, so you know my boy’s first word was McDonalds? How SAD is that? ;)

    Gosh darn he is cute!
Ah see now I don’t count ‘mumumum’ ‘dadada’ ‘babababa’ as proper words ;) They are just sounds.
    I’m a mean mummy :P

Lauren’s first recognisable word that wasn’t a ‘mumma’ or ‘dad’ was ‘beh’ (bear) so so cute. She soon got sick of us getting her to say it though.
