Echo? echo?

Do you ever hear things?

At the risk of sounding even weirder than usual…. I hear things, things that I know are not really there to be heard. Not crazy freaky ghost kind of things… just things that I have heard a lot of in recent times, and even when the noise has gone I can still hear it.

Example #1 – We are playing Muski Mozart’s Clarinet and Horn Concerto while he sleeps during the day, and he sleeps in the hammock in the study, and usually I sit her on the PC while he sleeps behind me, so I hear a lot of Mozart’s Clarinet and Horn Concerto. I already knew it well because we played the same CD to the girls when they were babies during their day sleeps. But I am sitting here now.. Muski is awake and terrorising his sisters, the CD player is off but every now and then I can still hear the music….

Example #2 – When Muski was born one of the ‘deals’ I made with the hospital and my OB to be allowed to VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian) was to be monitored throughout labour. It wasn’t a big deal for me as I had the wireless do-hickey and I pretty much just forgot it was there.. except for the sound… the constant ‘doosh doosh’ of Muski’s heart beat. It wasn’t a bad sound, on the contrary it was rather soothing, much like Mozart Clarinet and Horn Concerto, it easily blended into the background with a nice constant reassuring rhythm. After he was born and we were nicely tucked up in the big bed trying to reclaim a little peace from the last few hours of darkness… I could still hear it. ‘ doosh doosh doosh” I heard it off and on for days afterwards….

Example #3 – in the middle of the night when I know no one is up and in the lounge room, I sometimes lie in bed and swear I can half hear the girls talking on the couch, or the TV on. Of course if I get up to check I find everyone tucked up in bed and the TV screen blank so I go back to bed… but I can still hear it.

It’s like the walls absorb the noise during the day and then leak a little bit of it out later on, and you can only hear it when it is all quiet….

Yes ok, I know, I am insane…..

I actually had a theory when my little one was young that “Its a Small World” was actually on 24/7 in the ether, just a little louder some times!

Yep, I hear things too! Most nights, I swear I hear DD8yrs calling out from her bedroom (probably cause she often does, but I hear her even when she isn’t). Sometimes I also think I hear the kettle boiling on the stove too, amongst other things.

I am insane too. Hope this makes you feel better LOL!

Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto is genetically implanted in your brain via BoBo and the rest, well insanity is inherited too, probably from me.

Oh yes, you are not insane. This happens to me alot too. I remember once getting up and looking around the house for the drip machine that I swear i could hear beeping. I had been on nights in the cardiac ward and the alarms of the heart monitors followed me home too.

Also, I often hear familiar music, even though it’s not on…

The other day i was working here at home all alone and i kept hearing music playing. I got up and looked but couldn’t find anything. Went back to work, but i could still hear it but only in my bedroom. I have no radio in here and the TV was off. Still have no idea what it was but i keep saying my house is haunted, maybe it’s just proving to me that it really is lol.
