The Baldy Boy went back to work today, well tonight if I am being totally accurate, and while the Twinadoes don’t go back to kinder till the end of January I am trying to get back to ‘work’ – that is blogging and design stuff – too. Maybe…
I’m working on a new blog design, for myself! I also need to upgrade to the latest version of wordpress… I am still running 2.3.3! The redsign is coming along in fits and spurts and while I’d like it to be all done by the end of the week I am not all that hopeful. Once the new design is done (and tested on my test blog) then I will do the scary upgrade. I’ve upgraded my test blog and lazycow’s blog with no problems but then they were not running an ancient version of wordpress and they didn’t have hundreds of posts that I would be devestated to loose…. so fingers crossed it all works. And why do you, my dear readers, care about this? Well because things might be a little odd around here during the next week or so and you might get a maintence message when the blog is down while I tinker. Please be patient, if all goes well I’ll be back to usual soon, but with a nifty new look!
Project 300 and something? So far so good. I’m posting my photo-a-days in a new flickr set, though flickr is telling me today that I am almost at my 200 free photo limits so I might have to either pay *shock horror* for an account or maybe open a new one for the photo-a-day thing? I’ve got yesterday’s still to post and today’s but I won’t get them up until tomorrow… but I did take them on the right day, promise!
And in the non-computer part of life….
The weather has finally decided to be summer and we’ve been outside enjoying it the last couple of days and have plans to keep that up for as long as we can. I’ve been getting busy in the vegie garden and the Baldy Boy finally has all his holes dug for the footings of his new shed! Yay!
We spent last night at a belated Christmas gathering with family (since we ran off for Christmas it seems to have morphed into a 6 week long event!). A good time was had by all, especially since I convinced my brother-in-law to bring his new wii so I could have a go. I have a wii fit age of 47 and some ungodly huge BMI and my balance is shot – but then I was holding a cranky 18 month old at the time the measurements were taken! We all had fun playing each other at skiing and tennis and then fishing… seems I am a wizz at wii fishing! I still stand by my blanket ban of all games consoles in our house, we just have better things to be spending our time on…. but ooooooooh it was so much fun and I want one bad!!!
We’ve run off to Nanny and Bobo’s today for a bit of roast dinner and some new sparkly shoes – for the girls not for me. Wednesday we are celebrating a wonderful big 30 (not mine) by taking the Big White Bus loaded with children to Healsville Sanctury (the Aussie animal part of Melbounre Zoo) and on Saturday we are continuing to celebrate the same birthday, but this time the Big White Bus will be filled with adults (give or take the odd small baby) and the party will be at a real resteraunt…
Ah I am just loving summer….

Sounds like fun! .. and super busy! :D
You can still use a free Flickr account, it shows only the 200 most recent uploads. The others are still there and can be seen if you decide to upgrade to a pro account in the future.
