With the bergamot and cone flowers (assume you mean Echinacea?) store them in the fridge and just before planting pop them in the freezer for a week or two, then plant them.  In the US the seeds are shed direct into the ground after flowering but don&#039;t pop up till after winter.  Other things to check if you&#039;re already doing that would be soil type, acidity and sowing depth being too shallow/too deep?</description>

I love the idea of using your loo rolls to plant the seedlings though - a new one for me.</description>
