Tinker Bell meeting Lizzy - by Zoe
Recently the girls have noticed lots of advertisements for the new Tinker Bell movie – Tinker Bell and The Great Fairy Rescue. I even have one on my blog!
There has been much discussion on what it might be about and how long it would take them to save up enough money to buy it. We’ve chatted about why it is being advertised when it isn’t actually on sale yet and it’s been a good chance to talk again about how advertising often makes you want something even if you don’t need it, and how it can make something look better than it really is to encourage you to buy it.
So is the Tinker Bell movie really as good as all the catalogues and web sites suggest it is??
Well thanks to Porter Novelli PR and Disney Home Entertainment the pickle kids got a pre-release copy of the movie and can give you a real live opinion!
We sat down to watch the movie as a Friday night treat and everyone loved it!
What was the best bit?
Izzy – “The best bit was when Tinker Bell made friends with Lizzy.”
Zoe – “The best bit was when Lizzy’s Dad found out that fairies are really real, because he didn’t think they were.”
Muski – “The best bit was when the boy fairy was funny.”
What was the worst bit?
According to all three kids there was no bad bits, “not even a second of bad’ according to Izzy.
Was it as good as the ads made it out to be?
Izzy – “Well it wasn’t good that the ads made me want it before I could have it, but the movie was good.”
Zoe – “Yes it was better than I thought it would be!”
So there you have it… straight from the Picklebums. If you like fairies you’ll like this movie, which will be in stores from September 15th.

I love it how you’ve talked aout advertising. We talk about that a lot too. And I love hearing the opinions of the kids. Sounds like a fun movie my kids will love too.
Love the junior critics! It is a sweet movie.
