“Good things come in small packages.”
When I hear that saying I immediately think of our girls.
They were so very tiny when they were born. Zoe weighed less than a kilogram. That is less than your average bag of flour or bottle of soft drink. Izzy only weighed a few 100 grams more. Such teeny, tiny, miraculous, packages of goodness…. just like so many other tiny prem babies.
And these days? These days they are not so tiny. They are long, lanky, skinny, packages of goodness… well most of the time! Some of the time the goodness flies out the window and I long to self medicate with large amounts of sugar.
So what do you think of when you hear that saying?
When have you received a good thing in a small package?
To celebrate the release of their new 1 litre bottles, Cottees and Nuffnang are giving away $1000 for the best response to that very question!
Cordial is a guilty pleasure for the adults in our house. The kids pretty much just drink water, but the Father Figure and I can’t quite kick the surgery drink addiction so we hide it away in coffee mugs and make total hypocrites of ourselves on a semi regular basis.
Cottees cordial now comes in a one litre, double concentrate, bottle. It’s the same old cordial, it makes up the same amount of drink but uses only half the cordial as it’s twice as strong. So no more big 2 litre bottles, now I can easily hide the bottle in the back of the cupboard and pretend it’s not there.
So back to that idea of ‘good things in small packages’ and that competition!
Leave a comment (make sure you leave valid contact details) here before October 22nd, with your best ‘Good things in small packages’ story and I’ll pick my top two responses. These will be judged by Nuffnang, along with the top responses from the other participating blogs. The winner will receive $1000…. now that’d buy you a lot of cordial!
You can find more information about this competition at Nuffnang’s Blog here, and the full terms and conditions here.

Not going to eneter, but let’s all sing! My dad picks the fruit that goes to COTTEES to make the cordial that I like best!
What a miracle that two such tiny beings could turn out so fabulous!
Just wanted to let you know that I linked to you on my Blog Bookmarks post yesterday. Would love you to see it :)
A good thing in a small package? Jethro the baby bunny! Not only is he cuteness overload, but the smile my daughter beams when playing with him is worth a million bucks – and the giggles I have as she pushes him on the swing makes my heart explode. One tiny bunny, a thousand memorable moments.
Oh, so sweet. Is it terrible of me to think of jewelry when I hear that?! :)
Breaks my heart when I see such little babies… but breaks my smile out wide because I know they thrived and thrived. x
And what awesome packages your girls are!
The good thing that comes in a small package around here is my garden. It is very small but when I’m picking veggies out of it I get a lot of joy!
