Autumn Leaf Mosaic Collage

autumn leaf collage

It was frosty and freezing here at The Pickle Farm this morning. But the sun was shining and we had to go into town anyway, and I’ve been telling myself we’d stop at the park with trees with the beautiful autumn leaves, so today was the day. We had a quick run around and checked out the creek, then we collected some autumn leaves to bring home and create with…

Home with our bag of leaves, the big boy said he wanted to glue them, so I decided to cut them into small pieces and I handed him the glue stick.

Cut into small pieces the leaves stuck easily to the paper with only a simply glue stick. Morgan used them almost like mosaics and pasted them in lines to make ‘a house’ and ‘a being built house’.

We have plans to make some other things with our gorgeous Autumn leaves which we’ll blog later in the week. But in the mean time you might like to check out what we made last Autumn – an Autumn Crown.

It’s We Play day today at Childhood101.com – pop on over for lots of ideas and inspiration!

Oh I just love the colours of the leaves at the moment, still a mix of the red, green yellows and browns
