Remembering…

This week I need to remember…

I need to remember that I am me, not anyone else.

My life is mine, my days are mine, I do not need to compare myself to anyone.

I am not perfect, nor do I want to be perfect.

It is the wonky, imperfect bits of me that make me who I am.

I do not need to do everything now.

‘It’ is never as wonderful, or as important as I think it is, when I can’t do it.

If I really want to do ‘it’, if it really is that wonderful, if it is the right thing for me to do, it will still be there in the future, when I have time to do it.

I need to remember to let it go, find the good, suck it up, make peace and stop freaking worrying.

I need to remember that life is good… I just need to stop and take the time to enjoy it.

What do you need to remember?

The lovely Jeneane from Hodgehegs (that blog name always makes me smile) has been doing a little remembering, perhaps you would like to join in too?

Feel free to write your remembering post, or leave a comment telling me your rememberings. There is no rules, no time frames, no official linky…. but if you’d like to join in, please do!

This post couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I seem to be stuck at the moment comparing myself to someone I know. I need to remember that I am me. With my own strengths and story and friends and life and experiences. And that’s okay.

A beautiful expression of remembering and learning to be at one – and holding onto the positive energy – I love your expression ‘if it’s meant to be it will happen at the time it’s meant to’.

I liken it to reading a book, If I don’t finish it, then I’m obviously not ready for that lesson that book is intending for me to learn. I will finish it when I need to learn that lesson :)

I love this post today. It’s very much reflective of what I’ve been investing into this week….

    Thank you :)

Kate I love your “Remembering” posts so much and this one is my favourite. “I do not need to do everything now.” I need to make that my mantra! And as for “If I really want to do ‘it’, if it really is that wonderful, if it is the right thing for me to do, it will still be there in the future, when I have time to do it.” – the timing of this is perfect. I’ve been rushing, and stressing. I need to just slow down, be methodical in my approach and know that it will happen if it is meant to. Thank you!

This is such a heart felt post and I love it. I was just sharing about my struggles with perfectionism last week. So it’s very timely. I feel like I’m repeating Vanessa (above) but I love all of your Remembering posts. They are just so spot on. Being in the moment and not living for another day. It’s exactly what we all need to be doing!
