These give aways are now closed. Congratulations to the winners – Rebecca, TheEMM, Diana, Melinda and Laura – you have all been emailed.
These days I get a fair few emails asking me to review and/or give-away lots of different products. Because I write a personal blog, I don’t really want to fill it up with loads of reviews and give-aways, but sometimes the products are cool or useful or interesting and I often think you guys, my readers, might like them.
So I’m trying out a new gig… one big post with lots of little reviews and products to give away, otherwise know as my ‘Cool Stuff Give Away’ until I can come up with a better name!
Dinosnores – Kids Relaxation Stories

My kids and I love a good audio book or relaxation CD to listen to at bed time, it helps my lot quiet down and relax into sleep. Dinosnores sleep stories are interesting yet calming and have relaxation techniques built into the story so you don’t even realise you are doing them. We were given the Dragon CD to try out and all of my kids love the story, and I especially love the peaceful stromy white noise at the end of the story… makes me feel calm and sleepy just thinking about it!
I have one Dinosnores School Aged CD pack to give away. This pack includes: Fairy sleepy story (CD of the year 2012), Mermaid sleepy story (CD of the year 2011), Dragon sleepy story (CD of the year 2011) and Tyrannosaurus sleepy story (CD of the year 2011).
Bosistos Eucalyptus Oil

When our sample pack from Bosistos arrived I was keen to try out the eucalyptus spray on my girls bedding to see if it would help us keep on top of those pesky dust mites… but I’ve discovered the best use for this fresh smelling spray is on stinky shoes! A sprinkle of bicarb in shoes over night, empty them in the morning and a quick squirt of Bosistos Eucalyptus spray and the improvement is amazing. Ok I may also be a tad addicted to the smell, I am not a fan of air fresheners at all, but this… I just love this! There’s lots more handy hints on the web page.
I have one Bosistos prize pack to give away. The pack includes Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil, Eucalyptus spray, inhaler combo, nasal spray, EucoFresh Laundry Powder, Tea Tree Spray, Lavender Spray, Eucalyptus rub, antiseptic spray, a cuddly parrot toy and more!
Dymo Labelmaker

I have grand illusions of being organised… one day. I also have grand illusions that my kids will put their stuff away… one day. I am sure that if I just label every single thing in my house, magically the kids will put things away and I will be organised! So, armed with the handy dandy Dymo Letratag Label maker I set about labeling the girls drawers. We had lots of fun creating the labels and sticking them on, and it even had the girls excited about putting their clothes away… for a day anyway!
I have two Dymo Letratag Label Makers to give away. Or you can just pop in to your local Officeworks and pick one up (or any Sharpie or Papermate product), and be in with a chance to win a family escape to Hawaii. (Offer runs 15 May – 15 July). Find out more on their facebook page.
Canon Pixma Printer and PixMum Pack

In case you haven’t noticed, I like printables. Creating printables means I print a lot of stuff while trying to get them right! I also print out lots of lined paper for my kids to write on, menu plans, drawing prompts and lots and lots of other stuff. Last year we went through three printers in 6 months… then I got a Canon Pixma which has a paper feed at the bottom which can also be totally closed up when not in use, so Noah couldn’t feed anything crazy into it and break yet another printer!
Since I already have a Canon Pixma printer I convinced the lovely PR people to let me give away one Canon Pixma printer along with a Pixmums tips pack and how to video. You can check out some more cool Pixma printables here.

I would love to win the label maker, so that I can label everything with in an inch of its’ life. Then when the kids don’t pick up anything, at least I will know where it supposed to go and I can imagine that I am organised!
Oh yes I dream of organisation and would love the label maker.
Keep winter’s horrid germs at bay with Picklebums’, “Bosistos Eucalyptus Oil,” Cool Prizes Give Away.
I would love to win the Bosistos prize pack to help keep those nasty winter germs at bay.
Thanks for the chance :)
I would love to win the audio books because just occasionally it would be nice if my Mr 5 could read by himself and give me 5 minutes peace and relaxation! Both of my boys are great dinosaur fans.
I’d like to win the relaxation CDs. My little boy is happy to go to bed at night but he just isn’t tired enough to go to sleep. We often find him asleep on the floor in the hallway after he has snuck out and played for a bit of extra time. Perhaps the CDs might get him into sleep mode a bit quicker! Plus a different mode of story is always great! Thanks
Will be really happy to win the Bosistos Prize Pack. The Eucalyptus Spray will be great to spray around the house/car and keep everything smelling fresh (shoes, linen, sofa, bin, etc).
Great products !!
cannon pixma printer l need an printer than is multi functional and easy to use and l would printer photo and just have a ball with it
I’d love to win the Cannon Pixma printer. The dinosaur one I have now breaks my heart on a daily basis and I’m ready to put my fist in it!!!!!
The Printer please for all my printing requirements: gorgeous photos of the kids, printables for the kids and photocopying the kids certificates/reports to brag to rellies.
I would love the printer, becasue we just got a new one 3 months ago and it is broken already! I love doing craft with my girls and am obsessed with free printables of the internet!
My house is in need of some serious organisation, I’d love the label maker!
Will love to win the Bosistos Prize pack. Love using the eucalyptus spray to keep the house smelling fresh!
I would love to win the Canon Pixma printer. Since we moved we had to return the big printer that Ron was “storing” for his rugby club archive committee, we just bought our own ink cartridges and even though it was in the garage, if I wanted to print something out at home I could (by carrying my laptop, a child, the baby monitor, the front door keys, my coffee… all to the cold, damp garage!!) Since then there have been a hundred occasions when I have wanted to print something and not been able to. The other day this culminated in me forgetting to ask Ron to print out my tickets for the Playschool concert and I had to drive all the way to his office to pick them up and then rush to the concert. I NEED a home printer, like really need one. Bad……
Bosistos prize pack is the one for me, no more grot, snot, stink or stench that comes with being a Mum of three……two sons and the biggest mess and biggest kid: hubby.
haha, if I was choosing the Bosistos prize, it would totally be for the hubby over the kids haha. I think the shoe thing got me… he needs this bad lol. :)
Cannon Pixma printer, would love to win it so I can embrace my inner creativeness & save a fortune on cards, calendars, invitations and the like because this Terry tight arse has made it herself :)
Your nose would twitch,
Your eyes would stream,
You’d take one sniff & want to scream!
Oh picklebums please save me!
With Bosistos my son’s room would be odour free :)
oooh good idea Kate. I am torn, label maker would be good but a marker works well soooooo I am putting hands in the air (and waving them around) for dinosaur story thingo for aspy boy. He struggles so much with sleep and I am willing to try anything!!
My husband has a issue.
it makes me cry into a tissue
He mixes up our children’s names
Its not like he doesn’t have a brain
but I’m sick of screaming in the air
so ill say a little prayer
and hope hope hope
That the label maker could cope
using it to label the cat and kids
If it helps i would’nt pat him in the ribs
I need the cuddly toy parrot. I want the Bositos pack , But I NEED the Parrot. Don’t ask why I need the parrot, I just do. It is important.
What I really need is a new body, the current one doesn’t work too well, what would be an acceptable substitute is the Bositos pack. Don’t ask me how I get from one to the other but there has to be a link somewhere. I don’t need or want the parrot as I’m sure my eldest would appropriate it and it would then sit on her head the whole time she’s home, I’d have to send it to frogpondsrock to keep me out of my own personal hell that is my eldest and a soft toy. I shouldn’t mention the knitted squid she bought recently…it sits on her head, she’s an adult!
Oh the printer, I would love the printer so I could print all the printables I could find. I would be able to keep my Family Day Care Kiddies educated for hours with all the printables that I print :)
Id love to win a new label maker because I too have dreams of being organised and having my husband understand the mechanics of the pantry …our old labels have fallen off and he can’t tell the difference from plain flour to self raising even if still in red and blue packets.
Oh, how to choose from all the fun things?! I think I want them all, Kate!
My initial thought is to go for the label maker as surely a woman who laminates everything within an inch of it’s life… and a teacher to boot, really *should* own a label maker… right? but, that would be for me and when I was reading about the Dinosnores CD pack, I couldn’t help but think just how much my little girl would LOVE this!
My kids have listened to CDs in their rooms, since birth. Mainly baby Motzart and baby lullabies, with a few African tunes snuck in there for variety. Just recently, however, my daughter has been asking for something other than the lullabies, so this would be just perfect! I hadn’t even gotten around to thinking what I was going to replace the music with. Stories and imagination play a huge role in our lives and falling asleep to tales of dragons and mermaids and fairies would probably complete us :) haha
the printer we would love to win,
on our faces would be a giant grin!
we’d print off loads of fun things,
to distract us while mum sings!
thank you this awesome competition,
best of luck making a decision!
I would love to win the dinosnores cd. Currently after books we play stories of a well-known author, but my boys now know the stories so well they lay awake reciting them along with the CD!
I would definitely love to win the Canon Pixmar Printer – my printer is several years old and now that I have a 1 year old and almost 3 year old and have discovered blogs like yours I see endless possibilities in downloading free printables to help them learn and have fun!
I would love, love to win the Dinosnores DVD! I have a little dinosaur that wakes daily at 430am and wants to party! For mummy’s sanity, I would try anything to get her back to sleep, this CD maybe the answer to all my prayers!!!!
I would love the Dinosnores pack. After listening to the samples on their website I am convinced my little girl would adore these stories day and night. It might also save me from reading “just one more book pleeeaaassee” to my little bookworm!
I would love to win the Bosistos prize pack as i really love their products and very impressed with them, i have a family and during the Winter months all these items get used regularly. Thank you :)
I would love the Dinosnores School Aged CD pack for the grandkiddies. One of them has trouble going to sleep so fingers crossed this would do the trick.
Oh the printer! I want to tease Oz the Cat by printing things and make a YouTube video of him playing with the printer and totally become internet famous. Strongly suspect the magic trio of Oz the Cat, Robert the Roomba and Peter the Printer would go viral. :-)
I’d love the DinoSnores pack! My once good sleeper needs one of these CDs by the sounds of it to try and get her back into a good sleep routine. I’d also share them with my nieces and nephews, I’m sure their parents would love me forever!
Some people like roses, some vanilla
they are nice that’s for sure, but there’s a scent I like better!
Eucalyptus I adore
it’s my favourite scent that’s for sure.
So I’d like to win the Bosistos prize
on that one I sure do have my eyes
see my whole family love Eucalyptus too
and it would help my house smell pretty and new.
I’m desperate to win the dinosnores CDs. After nearly 5 years of little sleep with my boy I wonder if these culd be the lifesaver I need at least to stop me looking so old fm the bags hanging under my eyes!
Dinosnores CD for my little man.
To get him to sleep as fast as we can!
Currently he rises countless times,
Despite counting sheep and reciting rhymes.
The audio stories would help him relax.
Instead of visiting the kitchen for snacks!
I would love to win Dymo Letratag Label Maker so that i can organise my pantry and office room drawers, right now everything is so disorganised that pantry items are on office desk and office papers are in pantry….
Oh, the printer for sure! We’ve been without one for over a year, I cry every time I see a gorgeous printable that I can’t have! Ok, well maybe I don’t cry, but it does make me very sad :(
Plus, I’ve been wanting to create and print my own alphabet flash cards for my little one forever. If I had a printer I might get around to doing it before she grows up and moves out – yay!
When I fell pregnant with my first child I lost my brain, and it hasn’t come back nearly 5 years on. I forget where I put things, I forget what things are called, I even forget my kid’s names. “Hey you, can you get me the thingy? No not that one, the thingy next to the whatchamacall it.”
A Dymo Labelmaker would be the answer to all my problems. My memory might never recover but I’d never be late for kindy again because I can’t find my keys/shoes/bag, I wouldn’t ruin another birthday cake by mixing up the salt and sugar and my poor daughters will know their real names rather than thinking they’re called Darling and Sweetie.
I also have a little boy who sticks things where he shouldn’t,
He even pulls out the copy paper and stuffs it down the loo-
He just loves pulling the print cartridges out of alignment,
And flooding the bathroom, too!
I also love using printables with my four kids,
Which is easier when the printer will go,
How I’d love a printer that can’t be invaded-
And a loo that doesn’t overflow!
Wow, such a great giveaway, thank you!!
I would love to win the printer, my old one is on its last legs and has started printing everything out with a nasty green tinge…
I was going to beg for the label maker… but as of yesterday, my darling sister, who I love dearly, has informed me that I am out of printing credits. Apparently I am no longer welcome to use her printer for my ‘miscellaneous rubbish’. She was not persuaded by the importance of printables to my life, or my argument that I had just bought a thermomix and my budget was tight. According to her, this is a ‘first world problem’. She may have a point. But I would still love the printer!
A new printer would rock
so I could print ad hoc
all the photos and printables and craft i adore
but I won’t be a bore
so thanks for chance to win
and hopefully I’ll grin
when you announce that I won ;)
(sorry for my bad poetry)
I would love the label maker, as it will make organizing my pantry & cupboards easier so that even my husband will know what is what.
My little girls (and my husband) have AntsInThePantsitis…..so the Dinosnores School Aged CD pack would be a great remedy…for home, the car, the iPod!!
I’d love to win the Bosistos Eucalyptus Oil pack. I miss the bush big time most days – and am thinking perhaps I could spray eucalyptus oil around my house so that it atleast smells like the bush.
Also – I’ve been meaning to buy some Eucalyptus oil because i’ve heard its a good natural mould remover. The mould in our bathroom is feral at the moment.
I would love the Dymo Label Maker so I could label everything my husband takes into work… his jumpers, tupperwear, travel mugs, his beanie… the list goes on and he looses all of it! But he’s not alone, the toddler does a good job of loosing items at Preschool (especially when the hubster picks her up and forgets to check for everything) too.
Plus it would really compliment my mostly successful attempts at organising our home, especially my linen closet! It might even mean the bedding could successfully be put away instead of thrown in where ever there is space by some not to be named family members…
Oh good grief Kate. You are making me feel like a greedy guts. I just want them all! However, because I’m not really all that selfish, (although there is a good point you make in a previous post, that sometimes it’s worthwhile to take the time to look after oneself…), I would most of all like the Dinosnores for my boys. As it happens, my two year old has informed me that a dragon currently lives under their bunk, (right next to the indoor pond the ducks swim in), so I’m sure were the CD’s to arrive at our house, the dragon should be particularly interested in the dragon CD.
The Dinosnores School Aged CD pack
We had no problems with master four going to bed for the first three years of his life….now he wants a drink, to do another wee, play with his cars, a cuddle….the list goes on.
Maybe a CD story (with relaxation techniques built in) would help? Thanks
I would love to win the Bosistos prize pack. Smelly shoes are common in our house and I would love to get rid of them without using chemicals.
Aaarrrgghh…… I have 3 boys I would love to win the bosistis spray I’d like to test your theory!
Absolutely the label maker.. my pantry is in desperate need of labelling.. there’s been a few mishaps lately.. like making the pancakes recipe that needed PLAIN flour with Self raising.. wouldn’t have been too bad if I’d noticed that before I added the baking powder!! Fizzy pancakes anyone?
I LOVE labelmakers.. though I may have even labelled the cat last time I borrowed my mums. I think thats when hubby decided it was time to return it and that was 5 years ago at least! :-)
oh my goodness, we just travelled 3 hours with 3 kids who took off their shoes and nearly killed the driver and the front seat passenger with the vomit inducing fumes that could not be expelled even with all windows down travelling at 100km/h….and they arent even teenagers yet. Depsite my personal preference for the printer, labeller and even promises of a sweet dino journey to sleep land, I must put personal safety ahead of that and request the Bosistis Spray. We live in central qld where the car trip is always a min 40m-3hr drive and I just cant hold my breath for that time. lol, thanks for the opportunity to win.
The Bosisto spray for me please…..you ask why…well my hubbys feet smell and it does my head in!!!! I am wondering if you can spray on socks as well LOL I am so scared about having a teenage smelly feet boy in the years ahead!!!
Our whole family would be so grateful for some Bosistos on our home. My hubby is a chef who works long hours on his feet every day. Do I need to say anymore? I think not!
The thing is that he has used this before and I know it really works, plus love the fact it is a natural product, BUT its one of those products that I never seem to be able to locate at the supermarket and so….our smelly nightmare continues :)
Bosistos Eucalyptus Oil I’d love this because I’m having a struggle with my “lambs wool” slippers which just absolutely reek & I’m rather embarrassed about it. (I’m not the only one with stinky shoes, by the way). Plus I’d also like the pack to help sanitise and deodorise my toilet training son’s carpet- I’ll leave that to your imagination. Eucalyptus oil is also great for breaking the electrostatic bonds created by pet fur on carpet. We have 2 cats & rubbing the oil on the carpet beforehand helps to lift the fur out when vaccuuming. Plus I love the smell. Makes me feel like I have a cleaner house.
I’d love the label maker! I’m a therapist and am always misplacing materials! This would be great to organize all my toys in my office and make sure all the things that are mine come home with me from my student’s houses!
You’ll have to disregard my entry- I’m not an aussie! :(
I would love the printer :-) My husband is currently threatening to throw out our current one (due to the amount of ink it goes through – not sure if it’s the printer or the user (me) though!!!)
We’ve only ever bought hp printers, so would love to give cannon a whirl :-)
The Canon Pixma Printer, for our very creative teen daughter. Her homework assignments would look as good printed as they do on the computer and she is into making printed miniature accessories for her dolls house – from wall paper to mini-books, she always seems to be designing and printing.
This household needs the Bosisto Prize pack. All the products will have some use with the amount of things that come home from child care!
Nasal spray and inhaler combo for constant running nose.
Laundry powder for the filthy clothes, covered in paint.
Tea tree oil for the wart that has come home on my miss four’s hand.
Antiseptic spray for the cuts on the knees, from falling from the monkey bars.
Lavender spray for the stinky feet.
eucalyptus oil for cleaning the kinder bag! ( again covered in paint!)
Oh we would love the Dinosnores pack! My little guy loves to put on a CD to “fall asleep” to, but instead all we can hear down the hallway is the volume being turned up and him singing at the top of his lungs. It’s very cute, and does give us a laugh, but how wonderful if he was listening to something with wind down and relaxation techniques in it? Oh, yes please!
Oh. My. Goodness. I NEED that label maker!
My 4yr old loves to read and to help but can never remember where things go. If I could label EVERYTHING we mightn’t end up with big piles of toys and clothes in all our doorways!
When I’m done with his things I can label my own and hopefully I wont make salty muesli bars again…
And then Hubby’s stuff… No, that wont make any difference.
Anyway… LABEL ALL THE THINGS!!!!
The Canon Pixar Printer would be the answer to my prayers! It will save my sanity, stop grey hairs, save me from buying throat lozenges and spare my neighbours hearing the shrill tones of my voice! I am going to use the Canon Pixar Printer to create little messages of the things I say repetitively everyday! I will place these in their rightful positions in the house or simply hold them up in my hand. Messages will include ‘Now wash your hands’, ‘Shut the fridge’, ‘Eat your dinner’, ‘You’ll have to ask your teacher the answer to that question’ and ‘No! And that’s my final answer!’ I will place picture images with each message so my 3 year old can follow picture cues and it will even help my 6 year old son’s education as he will enjoy reading the messages out aloud. I would even create messages for my husband ‘Dirty clothes in the hamper’, ‘Now use the air freshener’ and ‘No! And that’s my final answer!!!’
I’ve love the Canon Pixma printer so I can print off household chores and stick them around the house for hubby and kids to read. Hopefully, I don’t have to remind them about chores again ;)
I need Dymo Letratag Label because I have a chocolate thief in my house. I need to label all my choccies so no one ever steals it
I have a dream. It’s of me getting a label maker, printing out a label that says “label maker” and putting it on said label maker.
Please help my dream become a reality!
Dinosnores would be great not only for me (as it would help them to sleep) but them two
Ooh I’ve been eyeing off the label makers for a while now, I’m getting so much more organised now and need little labels for everything!
My printer has died a very sorry death and I promise that I will keep the new one far away from little fingers who feed things into printers! And of course, I need to be able to print your oh-so-fabulous printables! Life without a printer is no fun! :)
The Canon Pixar Printer would be wonderful!!!! Our printer hasn’t worked since our little one tried to feed it her pencils & puzzle pieces…..we used to print of lots of printables for her to do & she asks me every day where her colour page is :(
I would love the printer as we currently only have a black and white printer which isnt that great when trying to make picture boards for my daughter. The pixma is a great printer for all sorts of crafty things, and with my daughter using pictures to communicate the more full of life I can make them the easier it becomes for her to tell us what she wants and for us to be able to communicate to her what we are wanting her to do
If I have to explain to my husband one more time where EVERYTHING goes, I might just need the dinosnores pack for myself.
BUT.
I think I could halt this problem at the source and just label where everything goes with a fabulous Dymo Letratag Label Maker :)
Please? Pretty please? Save me with a label printer?
Dinosnores for me,
To help my 25 Pre-primaries
Relax and calm down
After the lunchtime run around!
It may just soothe
The teacher too!
Dinosnores – Kids Relaxation Stories:- My kids would love the Dinosnores CD Pack. They love listening to a story’s at bed time & rest time, they wont lie down and go to sleep without one, we can read up to 3 books a night. They are now at the stage where they can start to follow the CD’s on their own. This would be great not only for me and my husband but for our kids too. Thanks for the chance :)
Definitely the printer. I have gone through a Epson, Lexmark and now a Dell. All three have gone bung over the years. Right now I am fundraising CO and desperately need to print many documents, but am waiting on a warranty reply from DELL, hence I don’t want to go out and get yet another machine yet. The above printer will really save the day!
Oh, the printer please!
I wouldn’t have usually picked this but today I went to copy something on ours and something went ding. Ding dong the printers dead. Imagine that in a nice sing song voice whenever your printer dies!
The Pixma looks rather dandy and more than that would be rather handy!
with a household full of sniffles and nasty winter bugs the Bosistos Eucalyptus Oil would be a very handy item to win
Dinosnores School Aged CD pack would be lovely! My son would enjoy this alot and im sure my daughter will to when she is at the right age :) currently bedtime is a long drawn out event…lots of reading lots of calming down..
I’ve ‘labelled’ my hubby useless several times in the past, but after forgetting our anniversary I’d like to make it official by having it consecrated on his forehead Dymo style! Not permanently of course; he has his moments….:)
Life is full of snores, and smells and sneezes, things that should be labelled and things that must be printed-so a difficult choice, they are all great. I would like to win us the printer so that where ever we go we can have our pictures with us.
Labelmaker!
Last year while pregnant I got a little crazy towards the end. My husband would often find me sniffing the benches in the kitchen, I swore they smelt funny. I also removed every single packaging box and bag from my pantry. I purchased hundreds of plastic and glass containers in all a manner of sizes. Now I am stuck with a ridiculous amount of containers full of food and I struggle daily to figure out what is what. I love how tidy my pantry looks but I cringe when I have to find something. Please oh please help me out! My husband would also be very grateful! Hopefully if we have another baby I won’t go as crazy at the end :)
A Dymo Letratag Label Maker would help simplify my life… After 2 children and still years ahead of sleepless nights I’ve lost my mind. Every morning I wake up and need to remind myself the milk goes in the fridge not the utensil drawer! Perhaps i’ll label my children. Yesterday afternoon I called my daughter by my son’s name, and sadly enough my hubby heard!
I’d like to enter the label maker. We’re defence family and being posted again this year, so it would be nice to organise my belongings so I don’t end up with heaps of plastic tubs labeled “Misc Stuff” and get to play “guess whats in the box!”
I’d love the Dymo Label Maker, I’d go round labelling everything and it would help me get more organised. In particular I’d label those high value items that the kids take out and can easily get mistaken for someone elses; iPods etc.
