Cool Stuff Give Away!

September 1, 2012

This give away is now closed -congratulations to the winners : Vicki, Amelia, Jane, Jennifer B and Del.

It’s officially the first day of spring here! To celebrate I have some cool stuff to give away!!

Papermate InkJoy Pens

papermate

I have a bit of a weakness for stationary. Give me a nice pen and a pretty notebook and I’m a happy woman. My girls have inherited this gene too, and often nick off with my nice pens!

Their eyes nearly popped out of their heads when I showed them the collection of coloured Papermate InkJoy pens, and I was declared the ‘best mum ever’ when I said they could choose two each to keep if they promised not to steal any of mine! Though as you can see in the photo above, I do share all the pens, occasionally.

I have two packs of Papermate InkJoy 100 Pens to give away which includes two pens in each colour, one for you, and one to share… or not!

Personal Planner

planner

So I’ve got the pens, now I need something to write in. Custom designed planner anyone? Yes Please!

I’ve already confessed my love of notebooks, but I am choosey, I like the cover to have a funky design and if it’s a diary or planner I want the inside to be exactly how I want it to be.

I just about cried with joy when I got to create my very own Personal Planner. I broke out my long lost digital scrapbooking skills to design the front cover, then I customised the inside to be exactly how I like it. A huge bonus to someone like me who lives by her lists is enough space to scrawl lists on each day as well as heaps of lined paper in the back to scribble on, though I could have chosen heaps of other options too.

I have one digital gift certificate to create your own Personal Planner (to the value of $45) to give away. You can create any size planner, upload your own cover image (or choose one of their cool designs) and customise your insides with lots of options via their online site.

Funky Elephant – A Trunk Full of Fun!

funky elephant

I hid our Funky Elephant package for a few weeks after it arrived. I snaffooed it away and kept it for a special occasion, an occasion when I was losing my mind and my big boy needed some distraction. On just such an occasion I plonked the box down on the table and told Morgan to open it. He went from whinging to grinning in seconds.

Inside there were instructions and everything needed (and I mean EVERYTHING) to make four different circus themed crafty items. Morgan is five and really ready to follow simple directions like these, but the activities were also open ended enough for him create freely and really enjoy it.

He made a clown’s tie and hat (even if Noah did pull off all the decorations about an hour later!), a lion face/mask and painted a paddleball. “And look Mum! There’s even a dot to dot and a sticker!” It was the little things about the Funky Trunk that impressed us both!

Funky Elephant is a Mum run business that delivers a package that includes at least three cool activities and all you need to complete them once a month. I have two, 2 month subscriptions to Funky Elephant to give away, so the lucky winners will get two funky trunks delivered to their door.

I would LOVE to win the Papermate Inkjoy pens. My 2 girls always nick my pens, and I love the idea that they come with 2 of each colour. Hopefully that could solve my problem, though with 2 girls and me, perhaps it may just cause more problems. I’m willing to risk it!

Shea September 1, 2012 at 6:08 pm

My son and I would love to win the Papermate Inkjoy pens! I keep a personal diary and would love to use one set of the pens to jot down my ideas and life, whereas my son would use his set of pens to decorate his art folio and cover my fridge & freezer with gorgeous free-form art pieces. I’m looking forward to it!

Caroline September 1, 2012 at 10:03 pm

I’d love to win the Personal Planner. What would I do with it? Use it to make my blogging a bit more organised.
Thanks for the chance :)

Vicki September 1, 2012 at 11:15 pm

I’d love the funky elephant package. Living in remote Australia we have very limited choice when it comes to craft supplies. We stock up every time we are in a major centre but it’s been 9 months so we’re running a little thin. It would be very exciting to receive new craft every month. Looking forward to having a good look at the site.

Kate September 1, 2012 at 11:20 pm

Loving Funky Elephant! What an excellent idea particularly for my Miss Four who laments the lack of mail she receives (I tell her I only get bills in the mail!), as she would love to receive a package with HER NAME on it. The joy on her face would be worthwhile let alone when she opens it up! Having 2 craft loving daughters this would be awesome. (I have a feeling I would have to follow it up with a 12 month subscription, or at least something with her name on, in the letterbox, left by me in the middle of the night, that mets her expectations). Sigh. The things we do.

Megsy September 1, 2012 at 11:22 pm

Oh please please please please pick me for the personal planner!!! I am the queen of disorganization and forgetfulness, and somehow I need to turn that around to become über organised mum of 1 school kid, 1 kinder kid plus the twin toddlers at home wrecking the joint. All by next year. The personal planner will lure out the organised goddess that lurks within. Right? Right??? I can dream…

Alissa September 1, 2012 at 11:51 pm

Ooh it’s a hard one! I’d have to say the Funky Elephant Trunk subscription – as my four year old would absolutely LOVE it!

michelle September 2, 2012 at 10:20 am

I live in Chicago, so I don’t think I qualify for the giveaway. If I ever get a chance, my dream is to visit Austraila. I would use the book, the pens and the $$$$ in my piggy bank to plan my trip. I teach kindergarten and would love to share my dreams with them about my trip!

michelle September 2, 2012 at 10:28 am

Specifically, I’d use the planner to plan my trip to australia. I would use the materials to create a piggy bank to put my pennies in ($$$) and SAVE for my trip down under. I’d love to win! Thanks for considering me. If I can’t win this time, consider me for a post card or two. A girl can dream big, right? lol. …

if you email me directly, I can send u my address… :)

Marita September 2, 2012 at 10:50 am

The Pens! I would stash them away to give to the girls as advent gifts :)

Wendy S September 2, 2012 at 11:43 am

I’d love to win a personal planner, would be awesome to have a diary with a photo of all 5 of my kids on the front. I’d make a small sized one so I could carry it everywhere with me.

Vicki September 2, 2012 at 11:45 am

I am drooling over the planners! I need one for work, I am a teacher and every year make do with something that is not quite right. But now I can make it fit exactly what I need! Love the idea!

Jasmine1485 September 2, 2012 at 12:27 pm

Oh the planner, please! I’d prettily position photos on it, then plan my professional prospects. I’d finagle my finances, document my doings, jot down jobs and rewrite my resume!

kerry santillo September 2, 2012 at 12:28 pm

The papermate inkjoy pens are fabulous!!!!!!!
I would use them with the children to create our masterpieces for family and friends. Also keeping the children happy and content whilst I try to clean and cook dinner!!! hahah

Jane September 2, 2012 at 2:51 pm

The InkJoy Pens would be great for my two drawing/writing obsessed daughters who conitnue to make Fairy Rings and hope for little gifts from the fairies. The fairies are running out of erasers, pencils, sharpeners and stickers so some lovely coloured pens would be much appreciated by the stationary fairy that is called upon at our house!

Reinhard September 2, 2012 at 2:51 pm

I want to win the planner for my Mum! Her birthday is coming up and she needs a new diary, so please pick me!

Ron Rose September 2, 2012 at 3:19 pm

As a puzzlemaniac (I just made up that word) I could really put the Papermate pens to use. Sudoko, crosswords (all kinds) , logic puzzles, Spot the Difference, quizzes – you name it, I do it. But my pens are always going walk-about! This supply would keep the peace for ages as I would lock them away in a virual “Pen-itentiary”!

Cathy B September 2, 2012 at 3:43 pm

I’m loving the Funky Elephant package and so would my twins 5, Leo Alex and little sisters Charlotte and Loretta love using their imagination to create all sorts of amazing things.

Melissa September 2, 2012 at 4:00 pm

I HAVE to have the planner!!!!! I have 3 boys (2 in elementary school and a 1 year old) and a husband in school and working full time. Last year I had a first grader and I had a goal to stay on top of everything and I failed….miserably. One morning when I dropped him off for school (late) I thought it looked a little slow for a school day. But figured it was bc I was late. I dropped him off and went to run some errands. I got a call about 10 minutes later. THERE WAS NO SCHOOL and my poor little 1st grader was in the office waiting for me!!! I felt awful! THEN, when he was the VIP we made an awesome poster and I took it to school on Monday. Well, Friday, he asked me to go to school and take a treat and read his favorite book to his class….I FORGOT….yep, I win the WORST mom of the year award. I felt horrible, but his teacher let me make it up the next Monday. Anyway, I LOVE writing, I love pens, but I NEED the planner!

Rebekah Ballingall September 2, 2012 at 4:30 pm

I would start that scrap book for my child’s birthday cards I have been meaning to do.

Jennifer B. September 2, 2012 at 4:35 pm

Forget the kids! Those Papermate Inkjoy pens are for me!
I’m about to do a serious reorganisation of my home office and need to colour code my diary better and have pens I can easily spot!

Kirsten September 2, 2012 at 5:41 pm

The planner!!! I can barely remember my own name let alone all the kids and their activities, parties, homeworrk etc…everything MUST be written down :)

Mel B (Honey You Baked) September 2, 2012 at 6:21 pm

Oh the Funky Elephant pack – two months of creative engagement for the kids is priceless! That means activities to stop them from displaying their artistic prowess on our concrete floor (it has happened), fingerprinting with soapy hands on the wardrobe mirrors, or endless impressionistic sculptures made with drinking straws. Not to mention the ones I attempt to set up after being inspired by Playschool or Pinterest: 90% failure rate there!

Dee September 2, 2012 at 6:37 pm

Papermate InkJoy Pens is the prize for me. I love to draw, and this will give me the push I need to get back into it. Maybe even framing some of my works to gift to friends and family this Chrissy (they’ve all been at me to start up again….and set a good example for the kids).

Diana O. September 2, 2012 at 6:40 pm

Personal Planner, I too live by lists. Once upon a time it was plain and simply because of my ‘anal’ organised nature. Now it’s got a lot to do with Mummy brain. I really would forget my head these days if it wasn’t screwed on!

Hayley C September 2, 2012 at 9:40 pm

I would have to pick the Funky Elephant package as my Little Miss 5 would be so upset if I chose differently. It would be awesome if were lucky to win this as she would have loads of fun with this during the upcoming school holidays, particuarly on the days she has to come to work with mummy!

Annette September 2, 2012 at 9:42 pm

Will the personal planner end my perennial search for the ultimate planner that suits my needs? I hope so!

Crystal B September 2, 2012 at 10:35 pm

I’d love to win the Funky Elephant pack for my two little ones. This pack would inspire their mummy to art and craft everyday – with the kids of course too!

Nic September 2, 2012 at 10:46 pm

I would definately love to win the Funky Elephant package. My Miss 5 is not one bit interested in TV, which is great, but trying to find interesting / educational activities for her is a constant thing! Oh and did I mention she has ooodles of energy !

Kira September 2, 2012 at 11:57 pm

I would love to win the inkjoy pens for my hubby and son :) they both LOVE drawing with pens its a bonding experience for them that isnt sitting and playing video games * rolling my eyes*

Amelia September 3, 2012 at 10:20 am

I’d love to win a Funky Elephant prize! I have an almost 5 year old whose hobby is reading instructions for art and craft activities and this would be an awesome treat for both of us. Love your site!

Holly September 3, 2012 at 10:26 am

I would love the Papermate Inkjoy pens. Our girls love to draw with textas and I think these would be even better as there wouldn’t be so much rubbing off on their hands and then on to everything else!

Chi September 3, 2012 at 10:43 am

Personal Planner for me please! I desperately need one to organise our lives! :O) Now with no. 4, its even more busy.. so much to remember, so many appointments, concert dates, dancing, acting, piano, dinner, play dates. It would be splendid to be able to jot them down as I go and have them in a lovely book. Happy Spring time to you too!

Moi September 3, 2012 at 11:16 am

Funky Elephant for me please – I’m always looking for activities to keep the two little ones from annoyimg the bigger ones while they’re doing homework. [fyi "hey wow! let's all sort socks!" was NOT a successful game. For anyone!]

Emma Rains September 3, 2012 at 11:30 am

The Papermate Inkjoy 100 pens – what a fantastic prize! My son, his Nana and I would have HOURS of fun creating with these sensational pens!

Sarah @ fignutmum September 3, 2012 at 1:02 pm

I would love the funky elephant prize. Being on strict bed rest means getting activities out for the kids is near impossible. So this would just be fantastic and just the treat the kids would love.

MissMel September 3, 2012 at 3:07 pm

I would love the Papermate Inkjoy 100 pens. With 2 very creative boys they would have great fun creating masterpieces with them!

Alyra September 3, 2012 at 3:29 pm

Personal planner.
How fantastic – I could get rid of all the bits and pieces of paper that I have notes and lists jotted on.

Laticia Cox September 3, 2012 at 7:12 pm

I would love some inkjoy pens, so atleast when my 21 month old draws on my walls it will be pretty colours instead of blue and black.

Maria P September 3, 2012 at 8:57 pm

The pens. I’m a puzzle addict and always need a pen at hand.

del September 3, 2012 at 9:38 pm

I would love the any of the prizes, but a decent planner is what I NEED! Life in the Relish house is a little mad, between both of us working full time, shift work, me studying and and having 2 kids that like to do stuff, lots of stuff – hockey, ice skating, soccer, cubs, football… In fact it is so crazy that we try to have a family planning meeting each weekend to work out who has to be where and when for the following week. The planning meeting even includes meal planning based on the estimated time to prepare dinner each day. We didn’t have time for a planning meeting this weekend so there is a fair chance we will have to drag ‘emergency’ meals from the freezer or have beans on toast frequently this week. Sure we do have a diary that we use now but it is really ugly and doesn’t have the right spaces for the info we want to record.

Yvette Bowyer @ DTlilsquirts September 5, 2012 at 12:39 pm

I would like the pens!!!

I am forever hunting for pens especially ones that actually work!!

I would hide them all over the house so when in need, I would actually find one!! :)

briony September 5, 2012 at 4:14 pm

I also am a stationary freak-a-holic, Got to have it. Even as a kid I would buy the sands and mcdougall showbag at the adelaide show.

Jenny September 5, 2012 at 9:07 pm

ooh – such cool pens

but I would love a planner I could customise – I would feel so organised

Michelle Gray September 6, 2012 at 11:10 am

The Funky Elephant prize I’d love to win
my 4 year old would have a great big grin.
Craft is her favourite activity,
this would help with her creativity!!!

Karlene September 6, 2012 at 11:22 pm

The funky elephant. Master four sees a craft activity in every empty box or piece of foam. I’m just not that kind of mum. Unless it’s an obvious kit with an obvious end result I have no imagination. He would absolutely love to decorate an elephant.

Renee Ballantyne September 7, 2012 at 10:12 am

Custom designer planner, I would divi up all the house work between the kids and my hubby so I could have the day off!!

K.Carey September 7, 2012 at 1:55 pm

I would love the planner for my very disorganised Mum. She helps me out with the kids after school but always forgets anything special that has been planned. A planner would be wonderful (for me to fill in for her :P )

Peta N September 7, 2012 at 3:01 pm

Papermate InkJoy Pens,
they’d make my day bright!
All my notes and doodles,
would look pretty and nice. :)

Han September 7, 2012 at 5:17 pm

I would LOVE the pens … I am a stationary’oholic … I never (almost never) go past the isle with all the stationary, one of my favourite shops are a Newsagency. With 2 of eacy color I won’t mind sharing with my darling daughter :)

Elizabeth September 7, 2012 at 7:45 pm

I would love 100 pens. I would carry a pen with me everyday and for 100 days, I would have a pen, because I have a habit of losing at least one pen a day!

VICKI September 7, 2012 at 9:12 pm

PAPERMATE INKJOY PENS ..WOULD LOVE AS I AM CARER FOR DISABLED GIRL. WE DO CRAFT ‘TOGETHER’. SHE LOVES DRAWING WITH PENS. OH, AND MY NICKNAME FROM MY DEAR DAD DECADES AGO….’PICKLEBUM!!’

VICKI September 7, 2012 at 9:15 pm

PAPERMATE INKJOY PENS ..WOULD LOVE AS I AM CARER FOR DISABLED GIRL. WE DO CRAFT ‘TOGETHER’. SHE LOVES DRAWING WITH PENS. OH, AND MY NICKNAME FROM MY DEAR DAD DECADES AGO…. “PICKLEBUM!”

Mick September 7, 2012 at 10:56 pm

Our little fella has discovered pens and colour in a big way so the Papermate InkJoy Pens would be a great benefit to us all as we make all our own cards and these would be perfect

Kim September 7, 2012 at 11:40 pm

They all look perfect but I’d really love the planner. A great way to marry the “ideal” of being an organised mother/teacher who really should have everything in her life organised but rarely does. At least with a planner I can “feel” a little more organised than I currently am. Thanks. Great blog too. x

SANDY September 8, 2012 at 7:44 am

I’D LOVE TO WIN THE PAPERMATE INKJOY PENS AND I’D PROBABLY KEEP THEM ALL TO MYSELF. SOUNDS A LITTLE SELFISH I KNOW, BUT, INEVITABLY, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS HOUSEHOLD, SOMEONE WOULD ‘BORROW’ MINE AND END UP NOT RETURNING THEM! DEFINITELY NEED TO HAVE SOME SPARES ON HAND!!

jennifer ali September 8, 2012 at 10:50 am

i’d love to win 100 pens with 5 kids in the house i can never find one!

Caroline September 8, 2012 at 11:55 am

As part of a household that donates some care packages to deployed ADF members, having these pens, rather than purchasing them, will ensure that the cost saving means that we can afford more items for the packages.

Bron September 8, 2012 at 3:42 pm

I would definitely love the pens! Like you the kids and I have our own separate pens so there is no fighting and my pens are treated nicely and don’t have the tips all squashed down.
