This is what life looks like around here right now… total and utter renovation chaos!
This is where our kitchen door used to be…
This is our makeshift hallway kitchen. No water but at least I have an oven, well as long as I don’t turn on a hot plate at the same time!
This is my kitchen sink.
This is my laundry, and the dishwasher (hey it’s working so I’m not complaining) and oooh look, those boxes have my new kitchen in them!
This is where my kitchen used to be, and where it will be again… one day.
And this is looking across our living room towards the new dining area and kitchen… can’t you see it in your mind???
So that’s what real life looks like at my place…. What does real life look like where you live?

Oh my! That is a challenging living situation, I hope the renovations proceed smoothly with no delays.
And I’m just going to apologise now for my post.
I’m actually a little jealous. We are currently renting and just feeling in a bit of limbo with regards to making a home for our family – I kind of wish we had a home renovation project on the go! :)
It is going to be BRILLIANT when it’s all finished, and this will become a wonderful story for you to tell for many years.
That’s awesome Kate, it means you’re well underway! Your long awaited kitchen renovation is finally making leaps and bounds!
I’m sooooo glad we did our (small) renovations as we were moving in to our house four years ago! And the kitchen was already remodeled from one of the previous owners… Phew! It’s always stressful when your home does not feel like a home!
Oh gosh. I hope it finishes QUICKLY. I would never be able to cope with noise and dust. My DH is talking renovations and I already told him we have find a rental to stay in while renovations are taking place.
You are all VERY brave. But, once it’s done then you move on and ENJOY the new space.
