I get around…

We’ve been couch dwellers this week. Giggle and Hoot have featured high on our list of priorities, along with trying not to cough on each other. So there is nothing new to see here today…. but I’ve been busy blogging else where this week.

I have two guest posts up this week…

The first is at the fabulous childhood101 – Ten Easy Things to Cook With Kids

And the second is over at Little People Books – Reading Chapter Books To Young Children.

So pop on over and take a look… because if you hang around here you’re sure to catch this dreaded lurgy!

A Few Good Links…

Things have been some what crazy this week!

I had a huge design deadline I absolutely had to make (and I did!) and then there is school stuff and various other kid stuff, and getting the baby weighed (he gained back to his birth weight and is Mr Average all round… how nice!) and taking a shower once in a while, not to mention food and sleep requirements. So yeah.. crazy crazy around the pickle farm.

And yet, I still seem to spend an awful lot of time sitting on my bum with a baby propped on my shoulder (and spewing down my back)… so I put that time to good use you know and spend it clicking around the interwebs.

So here’s a few good links from my baby spew moments…

I am totally in love and incredibly envious of the gorgeous lush green children’s garden over at A Handmade Childhood. I’m already making plans for spring seed buying and planting!

The Adult Privilege Check list at Shut Up Sit Down is a very thought provoking read in deed… not sure my brain is up for such deep thinking at present but I can’t stop pondering this.

I think these nifty paper garlands would make awesome christmas decorations.

And I want to make this hat for Quatro… actually one for each child would be good, if I could just get my hands on some wool jumpers….

Oh and one day I am going to make one of these awesome super sized marble paintings (as seen at Let The Children Play) to hang on our wall!

And if you happen to be a digi scrapper (or would like to be!) you should pop on over to pickleberrypop because it is our fourth birthday and there are lots of goodies to share! Almost the whole shop is 30% off and there are loads of lolly bags (grab bags) full of great stuff for only $3.50 US… but only until August 3rd!
This is my lolly bag…get it while you can!

And of course, it’s Friday! Time to flog ya blog with the lovely new hostess Lori from Random Ramblings of a Stay at Home Mum.

Happy Weekend everyone!

I’m reading…

I have a big long list of blogs in my feed reader.

Some I read religiously, every word they type I devour and relish. Some I read now then, when the mood strikes me. And some I only read every so often, and I feel no pain when I hit the ‘mark all as read’ button on these blogs. Yet all of them I enjoy for one reason or another.

Yes, I am well and truly addicted to blogs.
And in the spirit of sharing that addiction, here are some good things I’ve been reading of late.

Jacobs Hair – I’m having the same dilemma as Amber at strocel.com sine Muski’s hair desperately needs to be cut again and I’m trying to decide whether to traumatise him at home or at the hairdressers.

Rhythm of the Home – the summer edition of Rhythm in the Home has been out for a while now, full of lovely summery ideas and goodness. It almost kills me to see all the gorgeous summer photos while I am desperately (hopelessly?) waiting for signs of spring!

Toddler Books – One day I am going to make some of these books for my kids… you know, one day when I have time.

The Good Wife – I laughed out loud at this guest post by Mrs Woog over at Mummy Time.

Coffee Can Lanterns – I remember making something similar (but way less spectacular) when I was a kid… ah but this post is giving me a bad case of summer-lust again. I need to file away this idea for a few months time and click away now!

And of course… since it is Friday, I am flogging my blog over at Mummy Time today. Head on over and say hi to a whole list of great blogs!

And don’t forget to ask me a question, any question, so I have something to blog about next week!

What have you been reading this week? Any fab blogs or posts that you’d care to share?

I can't hear you

When life gets to much, and everything is too loud…
Put your hands over your ears and run around the house screaming
“I can’t hear anything…. I can’t hear anything!”

Or… go read a few flogged blogs over at Mummy Time!

PS – Top ten list of ‘Songs to Birth By’ is coming soon… just need a little more time to check out things on you-tube. So feel free to make last minute suggestions if you have any.
