Honest Scrap

And I thought I had avoided this me me that has been going around.

I’ve actually really enjoyed reading this one. Wonderful bloggers I read have shared amazing things, from the scary to the amusing and everything in between. And it’s not that I don’t want to share with all you lovely readers, it’s just that I don’t think I have ten interesting things to share. I think I must just be a boring person!

Anyway, you all know the idea…I’m supposed to share ten ‘honest’ revelatory things about myself and then pass it on.

Um… er… um…. well lets see.

1. I sang the lead in my grade 6 play – I was the Pied Piper of Hamlin and I thought I was ace, though according to the video I wasn’t that hot.

2. I support every women’s right to birth her baby at home, and I was even there at my lovely friend’s second homebirth which was amazing… but I’ve decided I don’t actually want to have a home birth myself.

3. I often wish our twins had been born separately.

4. I’m kind of pissed about being pregnant. Not because I don’t want to have another baby but because it isn’t the perfect time for us to have another baby. This baby will probably be born when we have half a house, no kitchen, and possibly no bathrooms, let alone enough bedrooms. And yet I know there are so many people out there who would love to be pregnant right now, who fight so hard to get and stay pregnant – some of these people are people who I dearly love…. so I feel horrible that I’m not really thrilled about this baby purely because of timing.

5. I’m lazy. Really Lazy. Lazy like ‘do I have to actually get out of bed to feed, change, comfort that child… surely they can manage for another hour or so’.

6. I am socially inept. I suck, truly ruley suck at meeting new people. I always think people won’t like me (even people who I’ve know for ages) so I tend to either embellish little bits about myself or hide bits, trying to be the most likeable person in any given situation.

7. I am a fabulous liar.. or maybe I just think I am.

8. um…. er…. um….see now I start to get stuck.

Lets just leave it there shall we? Before I am tempted to make up something…

Now people to tag… people to tag…bloggers who haven’t done this yet… um…. er…

I’m going to go with the following bloggers, but if you’ve already done it, or don’t feel like it, then I won’t be offended… blog well and prosper! And those reading, go check out these bloggers – they are good whether they do the Me Me or not!

Farmers Wife – have you seen the HUGE gorgeous deck on the house they are building?? Man I am soooo jealous!

Weekend Blog Trails….

A little bit of Linky Love for a Saturday afternoon…

The Parenting Passageway – I’m trying to keep up with this wonderful series of posts on becoming a more mindful parent. Even though I don’t home school or Steiner educating my kids I am still learning so much for this wonderful blog.

The Daily Digi – I’ve got a hundred and one design projects I should be doing at the moment despite the fact I am not supposed to sit for long periods… but I try to keep up with a little bit of digi scrapping at the Daily Digi, and of course the PBP blog too!

The Lark – it’s on my to do list… to visit Lark’s new shop up the road in Daylesford, but until I find some time to squeeze in that little trip I read the blog instead for lots of crafty eye candy goodness.

I’m also enjoying these random blogs – Lola Nova Whatever (crafty goodness), The Sometimes Crafter (more crafty goodness and loads of lovely quilting things), Shannon Fricke (lovely country living, house stuff) and Mommycoddle (that one’s just a good read).

To Eat or Not to Eat? – An interesting discussion about books and babies at Squiggle Mum

Now that spring is beginning to show her face every now and then I want to make one of these wind catcher gorgeous thingies – as seen in this post at Maya Made.

I want to give this cracker recipe from Towards Sustainability a go here… we eat so many of the things and the ones the kids like are the ones fill with heaps of horrible flavours and colours and chemicals. Hopeful if the kids help me make them they will enjoy eating them… I wonder if I could use cookie cutters to ‘kid them up a bit’. Herb and garlic heart and star crackers anyone?

Esprit Cabane – a lovely onling ‘magazine’ with lost of eco friendly crafty family things.

Caroline Webster guest posted at Childhood 101 this week about her passion for kids playing outside. I’m a big believer in the importance of outdoor play and I’m hanging out for the kind of weather that will allow us to stay out all day!

My Perfectly Imperfect Life – Day 7.

Me, imperfectly perfect me.

So here I am at the end of the week and pretty darn pleased that I managed to post a photo every day this week. From my blue stained bath to my unmade bed and everything in between, it’s been quite a journey. Last but not least a photo of me… I know some of you will be gasping in shock to see an actual photo of me, showing my face as well, I must admit I am pretty shocked myself! I don’t like to have my photo taken, but of late I’ve been thinking about how important it is to have photos of the people you love… so this post, this photo, is for my kids.

I am so pleased that so many lovely bloggers joined in and posted along with me. Plus there were loads of fabulous ‘tweeple’ who tweeted about my little project and all the lovely people who left comments. It’s been so nice to see all your ‘perfect moments’ and have you all along for the ride.

Here are all the lovely bloggers who joined in over the week (I hope I haven’t missed anyone please yell at me and let me know if I have).

I Subscribe!

I am subscribed to a LOT of blogs. How many exactly? I don’t know because there are too many to count, but it is a lot. Some I just skim through now and then and am not fussed about ditching unread posts, others try to read every post but sometimes don’t make it, and still others I devour every word given half a chance.

I thought I might share a few of the blogs I read each week or so. You know… a share the love kind of post, cause… well… it’s nice to share the linky love!

LoobyLu – if you like craft, arty, Aussie bloggers then I’m sure you’re already reading this one!

Peapod Squad Stuff – Life with triplets anyone? This blog makes me smile.

Three Time Kewl – the Kewl Girls crack me up constantly.. either that or they make me cry. Go read this blog!

Design Mom – inspiration from everywhere – love this blog.

The Sometimes Crafter – I am new to reading this blog. I was lured in by her quilts and quitling tutorials (I have quitling aspirations) and I stayed for her gorgeous photos and fabulous posts.

So what blogs do you subscribe to?
