I sink into her couch for a long session.
This is my therapy, this chaos of familiarity.
Sitting here on her comfy couch with the marks and stains of a busy family, while our seven kids play around us.
We talk, and talk, about anything and everything.
We laugh. We roll our eyes. We commiserate. We plan. We disagree. We share.
I always over-stay. Always. But if she minds, she is kind enough not to let on.
I am constantly relieved that our kids all get along. There are many differences and changes and it could so easily be different.. yet they slot in and out of each other’s play without too many dramas or difficulties.
This couch, this place, that is ‘out of the house’ enough to let me breathe, but not so ‘out’ that I need to worry about washing the toddlers face or if my jeans have a hole in the arse, this is what keeps me sane right now.
This is what I am most thankful for today – a friend with a couch.

God bless friends with couches. I visited one today and have one coming to see us tomorrow. They are invaluable.
Love this post so much. xox
Time with friends to chat, vent and laugh is so important.
Yes, couldn’t live without them. Had a good one today, feel wonderful because of it.
