Burning Question – What would you buy?

Posted on January 21, 2011 8 Comments

I have a little bit of birthday money to spend on myself. Not a lot, not enough for a lap top or a new car, but a little bit, to spend on me, just me. But the burning question is – what do I spend it on??

Something I need?
Something I’d get lots of use out of?
Something frivolous?
Shoes?
Clothes?
Books?
But what shoes? What clothes? What books?

It’s such a terrible ‘first world’ problem to have I know, annd I am such a tight ar… ahem… I mean I am thrifty, so I like to get good value for my money, but….

If you had a little bit of money to spend on yourself, what would you buy?

Ummm, I would buy some new makeup. Kinda need, kinda fun. And a whole BUNCH of new books. Chick lit, totally indulgent.

    Enjoy your b’day spree!

Easy Kate!! Something that makes you feel fabulous at the Bloggers’ dinner in Sydney :-) It could be a nail polish, some bling or some shoes that you love.

I would buy something frivilous but that I would get a lot of use out of, in my case that would be a grown-up handbag to take out on those rare occasions when I am out on my own and don’t need to cart around the ridiculous nappy bag! Oh and books, always books!

Well I recently did this for my birthday, and I bought Clothes, sewing books, and a music dvd. Totally spoiled myself! Have fun.

A cleaner. This is what I asked for for Christmas, unfortunately everyone in town seems to be busy at the moment.
It’s practical, but at the same time it is going to make me feel so good. Even if all it does is force up to clean up once a week or once a fortnight it will be totally worth it.

I tend to feel guilty lately about buying new fabric but I wouldn’t feel guilty spending birthday money on it! So definitely fabric or sewing related bits
