The first of the seeds are in. Yeah ok I did say I would do this at the start of September but I pleade’hospital’ (this is a handy excuse for almost everything at the moment!) and I am pleased to have managed it today as it should give us plenty of growing time and allow me to plant out this first round mid October.
So today the girls and I planted:
Into the jiffy pellets – zuchinni x2
– cucumber 1x japenese climbing and 1x lebanese
– pumpkin 1x turks turban and 1x Aussie blue
– water melon
– rock melon
Into the peat pots – tomatoes – tommy toe, siberian, mortgage lifters and cherry romas
– beans – four types that I forget the names of now
– peas – snow peas and sugar snap peas in the hope our cool pre christmas weather might allow us some late growing time before it gets too hot.
Into the toilet rolls – sunflowers – three varieties.
Into punnets – corn flowers and spring onions
I also did one peat pot of comfrey and wacked it in the fridge. So far I have gotten the comfrey seeds to germinate two years in a row but then they die, so here’s to third time lucky!
