OK so since my cooking post I’ve been asked a lot about the food blogs I lurk on and while I am not and will never claim to be a ‘foodie’ or a cook I still like to look and drool at these places…. so thought I’d share a few I have drooled over recently!
OMG It’s a pine nut conspiracy! All my favorite food blogs have recipes with pine nuts on them right now! LOL I must confess I don’t like nuts of any kind (I have a nut intolerance so I stay clear anyway) which may be why I have a pine nut aversion. In fairness I can see some recipes where pine nuts are perfect, but why does the yuppie cafe have to sprinkle them over the top of my sardine and rocket toasted sandwich just to look posh? I guess for the same reason it is ‘sardine and rocket’ and not tuna and lettuce! Which in my view would be just as good.
Anyway – ignore all the pine nut recipes at these links they have other good stuff too!

The Baked Do-nuts recipe…I am sure they are not as good as the real thing but this photo makes me drool… one day I might even try them! LOL There is lots of other good and simple stuff here too.

But this blog has loads of yummy stuff… we just made a version of their Turkish Pide recipe the other night… and this is the best Turkish bread recipe I have tried…mm I love Turkish food!

This is just beginning but if you are an aspiring bread maker I think it could be fun! Mind you my pizza dough recipe is way easier than the one they have up here and gets rave reviews!
