Holiday Helpers – Things we’d like to do during the holidays

Posted on September 16, 2010 3 Comments

Only one more day of making sure the girls have a clean uniform to wear. Only one more day of trying to find things they will eat to fill up their lunch box. Only one more day till two weeks of holidays!!

Here are a few things I thought we might do over the holidays…

We are planning a little trip to the beach to collect some pebbles to make these
alpha rocks from Write Start. Or if the weather doesn’t play nice we might try these word duplo blocks from Filth Wizardry instead.

We are hoping for some sunny, not windy, days to try out this home-made bubble mix from [email protected]

I’d like to check out some of these ‘Nod-casts’ from Land of Nod and put a few new goodies from Story Nory on the kids MP3 players as a surprise.

The girls and I also want to bake these Raspberry Oatmeal Bars from Buns in My Oven.

Of course we are also taking a trip to our local ‘$2 shop’ to stock up on some glue sticks and crafty things – there will be a LOT of cutting, pasting, drawing and painting in the next two weeks I am sure! The fabulous Planning Queen also has some great ideas for holidays activities over at Planning with Kids – and I’m not just saying that because she included me in her round up!

Holidays here we come!

One more week for the NSWers and then yay! Change in the routine! Yippee! And week two we’re going away to a house on the lake and I am so excited that my feet are tapping out a little happy dance as I type. Enjoy yourselves. x

Ah, that was me in the comment above. MultipleMum (who is my sister) was babysitting here on the weekend and I think some blogging was definitely going on! Must remember to check my signatures… x
