Last Links of the Year

As life hurtles towards Christmas at a frantic pace, my feed reader is full to bursting with unread posts. I’m longing for a few lazy days when I have nothing else to do but read blogs and follow link trails while the baby sleeps…. Sadly that is not in my immediate future, so instead here are a handful of links I have had time to check out lately…

Under The Yard Arm wrote a A Response to Christmas Island that has been rumbling around my head long after I read it. Compassion, humanity and courage have been sorely lacking in our country when it comes to refugees and this post highlights those issues so well.

Are you looking for the perfect gift to give the person who has everything? Then give blood. The Australian Red Cross has launched it’s ‘Perfect Gift’ campaign to encourage us all to give more than just commercial gifts this Christmas.

I was thrilled to discover that my rainbow crayons post was featured on Make and Take’s new spotlight page! There are loads of other great crafty ideas and recipes with new links being added all the time.

I’ve also been syndicated on Blogher this week, so feel free to pop on over and join the discussion about how TV works for your family.

I’ve also been reading these great posts – Fine Motor Skills at Christmas at Childhood101, Letters of Love – Letters to War at Squiggle Mum, and these Smores Brownies at Buns in My Oven.

I’m hoping to have a little time to read and comment on blogs after New Years…. if my life slows down a little… maybe…
So what have you been reading lately? Got any great links to share?

This is a parenting guru I read quite often (he does parenting and also teacher advice). He’s just emailed out a link to his xmas ebook, so I thought I’d share :-)
