Do you ever get the feeling that you have mistaken ‘busy’ and ‘done’ for happy?
Lately it feels like I have been running so fast and trying to get everything done that I have forgotten about happy. Even when happy is right there, under my nose, I don’t notice it because I am too busy, getting things done.
I need to make an effort to notice it more. I need to let more happiness in.
Happiness like…
Sitting in a patch of winter sunshine.
Reading.
Hearing my big boy sing in Japanese.
Good company.
Seeing my kids look after each other.
Sleeping in.
I’m challenging all of you to let more happiness into your lives too.
Please leave a comment and tell about the happy moments you’ve let in lately.
At the moment I am sitting in some winter sunshine (which is rare in Melbourne at this time of year) and watching my two boys explore the garden for bugs. Noah, my six year old, is leading the way and making sure that my 5 year old, Josiah, is not touching anything that might bite him. Its lovely when they play so nicely together. :)
hasn’t the winter sunshine been glorious! Almost makes up for the freezing mornings!
We lay on the floor and played trains this morning with our backs to the breakfast dishes and washing basket.
Now that is the way to let happiness in!
Oh yeah…….
“Stop the glorification of busy….”
I absolutely adore this post! Lately I’ve been letting happiness in by simply soaking up the moment I am in, stopping to play, really play with my girl, opening my heart and letting people know how much I appreciate them and love them.
