I love colour. Love looking at and experimenting with various colour combinations was one of the best things about designing digital scrap booking kits and I miss it. Now that I don’t design any more I seem to just spend a lot of time pinning and book-marking lovely colour resources and combinations. In case you are colour obsessed too, here are some colour links!
Design Seeds is the blog when it comes to colour swatches… so many beautiful colour combinations (image above from Design Seeds)
Photo Card Boutique has a lovely section devoted to colour.
Creature Comforts calls their colour category ‘Colour Crush‘. They also have a great tutorial for using photoshop to create your own colour palettes.
Pink Paisley is a paper scrap booking site but they do a great colour challenge on their blog with fabulous colour swatches and a layout using those colours. Inspiring even if you don’t scrap.
Flights of Fancy has gorgeous colour schemes and lots of lovely stationary and design goodness as well!
Colour Collective uses mostly fashion images to create their colour swatches.
If you want to create your own colour schemes my favourite online tool is Adobe’s kuler. You can create your own colour schemes from an image or just play around with colour combinations. You can save your schemes, share them and browse other people’s colours. Loads of fun!
ColorSchemer also has a good online colour tool, as well as a gallery where you can share and browse colour schemes.
