Today I am not going to think about the fact that the I haven’t finished designing the inivitations for my boy’s first birthday, let alone sent them, and yes it is now only two weeks away. Today I am going to focus on something much more fun, party decorations!
Last year we threw the girls a rainbow party and made awesome raimbow bunting (above image) thanks to inspiration from Little Eco. Oh Happy Day has similar bunting but made from vellum and hung as mobiles which looks fabulous!
Oh Happy Day also has a greay DIY post to make fringey streamers as well as lots of other party inspiration!
Or how about these very cool ruffled streamers from Made?
If you like the big paper pom poms The Busy Budgeting Mama has a great tutorial
Now if this gorgeous and simple bunting from Poppy Talk isn’t a good excuse to buy some pretty Washi Tape then I don’t know what is!?!?
Design Sponge shares a great tutorial for making pom poms out of cupcake liners, how cool!
Incase you haven’t noticed, I have a bit of a thing for bunting and garlands at the moment. In fact I’ve got a whole board on pinterest dedicated to all the lovely ones I’ve found. Go take a peek.
Have you come across any fabulous DIY party decorations lately? Please feel free to share a link!
I am just sitting down to make the bunting for mine and Amy’s parties which are coming up at the end of the month! I am so excited about this little diy project, will post photos as I go!
Gosh you’ve managed to find some great stuff. I have a 4 yr old boy party coming up next month. Ben10! So using that circle garland as inspiration I printed off some ominitrix circles and sewed them to create the same affect. I’m sure it will look fantastic. Fingers crossed.
So many great ideas, almost wish I did have a party coming up.
Thanks for the mention! You’re a sweetheart! And now i’m off to check out all of the fabulous links! i’m a sucker for round ups like this. ;)
