Materials You’ll Need for the Minion Playdough Mats
To make your own playdough minions you’ll need a few, easy to find, items:
- Some playdough or plasticine.
We used plasticine/modelling clay to make our Minions, but you could use homemade play dough, or any kind of dough or clay you like. - Some loose parts or accessories.
We used some scraps of fabric, but you could also use wool, beads, sequins or anything else you have. - Paper and a laminator
We print our playdough mats on regular printer paper and laminate them, but you could also use a plastic pocket. - Scissors
If you want to use the printable eye balls included in this set you’ll need some scissors to cut them out. - Playdough mats

I use a regular desktop inkjet printer to print our play dough mats. I print onto regular printer paper and then laminate each one. If you want to save on laminating pockets, laminate two sheets together, back to back. You could also slip them in a page protector, or use write and wipe pockets.
Playing with your Minion Playdough Mats
There is no right or wrong way to play with these minion playdough mats. Let your kids use their imagination and creativity to make their minions look any way they like. They might even invent a new kind of minion. Maybe a minion dog? Or a minion robot?
Playing with playdough is a great way to work on fine and gross motor skills, as well creativity and imaginative thinking.
My Minion loving kiddo had a great time making clothes and hair for his Minions. I especially love the grumpy face on the guy in the middle!

There are two playdough mats in this set – one with a single minion shape, and one with three different minion shapes.
There is also a page of minion eyes to cut out and add to your playdough minions!
This printable is an A4 sized pdf file, you will need a pdf reader such as adobe acrobat to open it. It will fit to print on US ‘letter sized’ paper, just be sure to select ‘fit’ or ‘shrink to fit’ from your printer options to allow for printer margins.
