We went to the museum on Friday with a whole group of great Mums and kids.
You know those days when you get up and think ‘gosh I just can’t be bothered with the trauma of getting everyone ready to go out’ but then you suck it up and do it anyway and then are just so glad you did? Well Friday was one of those days!
I thought we were never going to get out of the house and I wondered how long I could cope with my shy child at the museum, but then as soon as we picked up the gorgeous ‘Tennis’ (aka Tannah) and her equally gorgeous Mum and Shae and I started gasbagging I knew it was exactly what I needed to be doing that day! Even Miss Zoe surprised me by not being totally petrified by everyone and even leaving my side a few times…. mind you she was in heaven in Shae’s ergo cause it meant I could carry her, and up she could still see everything but not have to be too close to anyone!
I took a fair few photos but they didn’t turn out that great. I am not sure if it is lighting in the museum as my last attempt at museum photos were not good either… but actually I am leaning towards poor technique as I can’t seem to get hardly any decent photos of late… think I am trying too hard! Anyway the best of a bad lot I’m afraid …
:( So regretting not going now….next time MAKE ME!!!!
Glad you had a great day!
Oh, sounds like you all had a great time, just what the doctor ordered I’m sure! :)
I know what you mean about not wanting to bother with the hassle, but then when you do go somewhere you have a great time – imagine if we always went with our first thoughts – life would be duller wouldn’t it?
About the pics, I’m sure the lighting doesn’t help. I got a tip from a photography class once that when you’re taking a pic towards bright light, that you should focus your shot away from the light, and then holding your finger down on the button, just recompose. That way the camera doesn’t under expose your subjects. Might be worth a try, but I’m sure if you PS your pics you could improve them?
Wow, what an essay! I’ll be quiet now :)
It was great to see you again so I’m glad you came too. :) Funny what you said about photos not turning out if you try too hard. I’ve found that really true. All my favourite photos have been ones that were effortless.
Yep, I would be a recluse if I was a millionaire! But, like you, I always have fun when I get out, it’s just actually get out that’s the hard part!
Your pics are great Kate, don’t be so hard on yourself! Glad you had fun at the museum!
It’s great to see you back at MAC too ;)
ummm.. don’t know if my other post went through or not…
if not here is the gist of it lol
I really like that photo, you are just too hard on yourself. The lighting does make it tricky though. Glad you had a great time, and I”m going to have to take Julieanne now, you’ve inspired me :)
