My Perfectly Imperfect Life – Day 4

Posted on September 23, 2010 4 Comments

I’m sure you all think I blog from my ‘fabulously designed home office, with awesome art on the walls, using a super, sleek, awesomely fast, lap top ‘… well I’m about to burst your bubble dear readers…

I blog from a PC that is as old as my middle child. And yes, my screen (which is as old as my oldest children!) really is a big square box and it really is covered in finger prints. I think there is a desk somewhere under the piles of junk. I have no memory so I write notes to myself with a green crayola texta because I can’t find a pen despite buying a packet of 10 last Monday. I look up to what is supposed to be an ‘inspiration board’… that is if you find school clothing labels, the odd business card, shopping receipts, our christmas card from 2007 and a broken christmas decoration inspiring….

Yes, it’s messy.
Yes I can never find anything (like a pen) when I need it. Y
es my screen is dying a slow and painful, yet strangely colourful, death.

But I’m drowning in children’s art work and boxes of DVDs that hold hundreds of baby photos, that can’t be a bad thing. And despite this computer’s age it lets me blog and muck around with digital design and earn a few dollars here and there.
So while it’s rather imperfect, it’s also entirely perfect too.

Is your life wonderfully, crazily, impossibly, perfectly imperfect too?

Then join in and add your link to Monday’s post and while you are there check out everyone else who is celebrating their imperfections.

I love your desk space. The photos on your board would have to be my favourite thing, I need to print out more photos in this digital age. I had to clean my desk space the other day when I couldn’t find which cable led to what electronic doo-dad I needed to plug in. I picked up the pile of junk that was on top of the cable tangle and moved it to the dining table. Clean up… done.

I love peaking at people’s desk. Except that I have a Macbook, mine looks pretty damn similar!

I think your space rocks because mine is just exploding like that too! So refreshing to know I’m not the only person with an office space that could potentially be a safety hazzard…LOL…I’m kidding.
I scrapbook on top of blogging so my office is so cluttered. We just upgraded our PC hard drive and the screen came with it.

Your space looks a lot like mine. My area is always overflowing with stuff.
