Si came home this morning to find one of our big chooks (the narky one) dead in the chook house. She appeared perfectly fine last night when I fed them the dinner scraps, and Si said she looked perfectly fine this morning, except for the fact that she was no longer alive so we are not sure what happened. I just hope it wasn’t some kind of chicken disease as that would likely mean we’d loose all the others too.
So there is one less chicken to name now, but I think we’ll name her posthumously (is that the right word) so we can atleast say ‘there lies X under the lemon tree’.
And Sif you are not too late for your chicken names at all… I won’t close the polls till midnight tonight and will attempt to annouce and send out links tomorrow night if the world of ‘yousendit’ is good to me!
I also keep forgetting to annouce this here but tomorrow – Wednesday Feb 1st we are having another ‘chat ‘n scrap’ at DSH 1pm (Aus EDST) (which I think is around 9-10pm US time) until around 3 ish. We have our local paper scrapping teacher, Chris, joining us to talk about the art of journalling. No requirements to speed scrap this time… just come with your questions about journalling or ideas to share and pop in sometime between 1 ans 3pm. There will of course be a challenge to scrap something with journalling after the chat – but you’ll have a week to get that done and in the gallery at DSH. So come join us!
