So while I am loving the rain because we so badly need it, it means our new fruit trees won’t die and it might resurrect our strawberries… not to mention the fact that we need it in the tanks so we can have a wash every now and then….. So yes while I am grateful for the rain I am getting antsy. I want to take some photos for a new blog header I have in mind, but I need some sunshine for a trip out to the paddock for the photo shoot. Seems I won’t have to wait too long as gorgeous weather is on the forecast for the start of next week… lets hope my children will co-operate then too!
In the mean time… this is what you do when you have two two year olds and it is raining.
The girls are mad into ‘cooking’ at the moment and drag their chairs into the kitchen to ‘help’ even if all I am doing is buttering toast. Kind of ironic really as cooking is not my strong point – but this past week we have made three batches of biscuits, piklets and this hot pink play dough – at least the play dough has given me a day’s break from them demanding to cook as they have been too busy cooking on their own stove to bother. I only wish they’d clean up after they cook!
What is your tip to making good playdough, my last batch turned out gooey??!!!
Yay for the rain too…I love a bit of wet weather occasionally :)
Great photos of your girls, maybe they can come and join in with my little domestic god :)
Second try at posting comment – I love those photos – your girls look adorable cooking away :)
don’t you just love that rain? especially at night!
(PS: If this works – it’s Kaza aka Kazadoodle aka Karin – BG:)
Looks like lots of fun:) Playdough has been our saviour this week too!
Lis I mix it a little past the gooey stage and make sure to turn it so the heat gets through it all:)
Lis – use the recipe on the back of the cream of tar tar packet and cook it well… really well. Flatten out out in the bottom of the pot – the bigger pan the better to make sure it isn’t still gooey in the middle. You can always ad flour later if needed but with good cooked dough you shouldn’t need to. :)
And Kaz – the reason you can’t comment easily is because I am using the new blooger and old blogger usernames don’t work very well ;(
oh do we need the rain.. tank water here, and it’s getting mighty low :(. I do love the sunny days though.. :).
I’m sure the girls will be super models for you, and can’t wait to see the shot results.
Angela
Thanks Laura and Kate :) Will have a go at some again this weekend and let you know!!
Oooh I can’t wait to see the new blog banner, I am sure it will look amazing!
I think home made play dough is better than any you can buy! They look like they are having so much and the pics are great (as yours always are!)
Lee (just in case this deosn’t work LOL)
