Considering the amount of hours I put in on this job, surely I am entitled to an RDO every now and then??
What about holiday pay?
Sick leave?
Stress leave?
In a ‘perfect world’ I would be able to organise ‘me time’ every day. But I don’t live in that perfect world, and the reality of parenting for me is that it is relentless. There is no one making sure I get the required number of breaks during the day, let alone the occasional day off
Except that is just what I am doing today. I’m taking an RDO.
I’m getting in the car, picking up a friend, and going out… for the day… no kids… no curfew.
I am escaping… just for a little while, and taking all those required breaks in one big accumulated day off!
Have you ever taken a parenting RDO?
I apologise for not getting around to comment on everyone’s posts from last week. We have had terrible internet here and it’s driving me bonkers… all the more reason I need a day off!
As always there are no hard and fast rules for this. If you blog you can link up below. If you are on twitter or instagram you can share using the hash tag #reallifewednesday (add @katepickle when you do so I can find it!). You can even post a comment or share a photo on my facebook page if you like. Don’t worry, you don’t have to post or share today, you’ve got all week till the next one.
