I reached up for the lentils and spilled the chocolate chips all over the floor.
“oooh tok-o-lit!” he said as his little eyes lit up.
“I eat it?”
I looked at the chocolate chips scattered all over the kitchen floor and thought, I could go get the broom and sweep them up and chuck them out, or I could let the two year old clean them up.
“Yep, you eat it Noey” I told him, and in a flash he was down on his hands and knees carefully picking up each chocolate chip and shoving it in his mouth.
In a couple of minutes the floor was clean, even if the toddler was a bit chocolatey around the edges… but that’s real life around here.
Real Life Wednesdays is a link up of all those crazy little things that happen that make up the every day. The things that are so ‘real’ they are ‘unreal’. The things that make you laugh, because if you didn’t laugh you’d cry. Those kinds of things.
Write a post or blog a photo, or anything that fits the theme of ‘real life’ (make sure it is not a competition or a sponsored post), then link up. Link up and let us all know that real life happens, and often it is beautiful or special even as it is horrible or insane. Or play along on instagram or twitter with the hashtag #reallifewednesday
Add a link back to this post and pop on over and say hello to some others who have linked up too. Feel free to grab the button below if you like, and don’t worry, you don’t have to post today, the linky will stay live all week.

That is the best kind of cleaning up :)
if only I could clean the floor like that all the time! LOL
Too cute. Can’t let chocolate go to waste.
Go Noah! You have the right idea, mate :-)
Yes! That’s my kind of real life too! But, unfortunately for my kids when they are old enough, I’d be fighting them tooth and nail for every last chocolate chip… yu-um! Haha. :)
he he he lucky for my boy chocolate chips don’t really float my boat!
So true! I love it when children have not experienced this real life clean up and get to the first time. Wonderful.
Love your boy!
So love this, it made me smile!
