Remembering May

remembering may 2012
So, June already.

Just like that.

May has been the sort of month where when you look back it’s hard to remember the good bits. Not that anything terrible has happened… just a month full of ‘same old, some old’ punctuated by bouts of mild illness for various family members.

But there were good days among all of the coughs and sniffles.

There were unexpected autumn leaf adventures and my big boys first school visit.

I had a fabulous whirlwind trip to Sydney and then an amazing weekend at Big4 Bellarine. So odd not to hear someone call me “Mum” for hours on end!`

There was time spent with friends, lots of chat, laughter and even a little dancing.

I was reminded to find the positives in some negatives and survived mothers day with only two lavender bags and a face washer.

In May I fell in love with my big boy all over again and realised Izzy is more patient with Noah than I am most of the time.

Noey started stringing words together to form sentences and delighted his sisters by naming them “Do-do” and “Id-dee” and his brother when he yells “Hewo Morrrr-gannn!” when we pick him up from kinder.

Zoe has spent the month lobbying for a certain i-product birthday present – she has 5 more months to wear me down!

Winter has officially begun, and it is cold up here today, but sunny, gloriously sunny. May the rest of winter be filled with days just like this…

So how was your May?

I shared the most wonderful afternoon tea with some wonderful women in May and ran my first half marathon.

I also realised that I need to accept I can’t do everything on my work plan and adjust it, so I can get more sleep!

Sounds like a busy busy month. I was hoping June would be a quiet one, but it’s not looking that way.
    Great photo collage.

My birthday was in May, and I had a great day! It is June now, and it’s summer here. The warm temperatures are rolling in. Spring sure was nice and we enjoyed a lot of rain, which we appreciated even more for our growing garden!
