Remembering…

I am still working on ‘living in the moment‘ and appreciating the little things.

This week I need to remember…

I need to remember the toddler, with his hands in the tub of butter, because one day we’ll laugh about it, just like we laugh about this.

I need to remember the way my husband smells.

I need to remember the drawings, the huge, unstoppable, piles of wonderful, four year old drawings.

I need to remember the screechy recorder concerts of Hot Cross Buns.

And I need to remember where I hid that last bar of Turkish Delight.

What do you need to remember?

Feel free to write your remembering post, or leave a comment telling me your rememberings. There is no rules, no time frames, no official linky…. but if you’d like to join in, please do!

    I need to remember that:

Urban Homesteads are not built in a day

Time away from the kids shouldn’t feel guilty, or rushed

You can’t please all the people all a the time!

(Now go find that Turkish Delight!)

I love your thoughtful posts of late, Kate… and you’ve made me think of what I need to remember. (Though I’m not sure I want to remember how my husband smells!!! Perhaps one day I’ll think it’s endearing?!).

Oh yes, I want to remember the drawings. Good one. xx

I need to remember that when one door closes another one opens.

I need to remember that worry about something doesn’t make it better.

I need to remember to rest.

I need to remember that stress can be reduced with laughter, love and creativity!

We are going through a huge shift right now, and will most likely be selling our house and moving to another one in the next few months or less. Things seem SO stressful right now. Sometimes it’s hard to manage it all! I need to remember to *stop* worrying and let life unfold. That’s so hard to do…..

I need to remember that even a bout of postpartum depression that lasts 18 mos or more will eventually end.

I need to remember to stop and simply enjoy a giggling toddler and put the dish towel down.

I need to remember kids are resilient and they’ll remember how much love mommy showed them and hopefully forget the bad.
