Melbournians, Win one of Two Family Passes to See Pinocchio.
This competition is now closed. Winners have been notified – congratulations Mandy and Emma.
Pinocchio is a family musical that both adults and children will adore and is based on the classic books by Carlo Collodi. Coming from the extraordinary talents of Windmill Theatre Company, Pinocchio updates this beloved story with some rockin’ tunes, contemporary design and, of course, a very badly behaved puppet with a genuinely extendable nose!
Pinocchio is on at the Malthouse Theatre from 6th-29th September. For more information and to book check out the website.
Win one of two family passes (for two adults and two children) to see Pinocchio at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne at 4pm Sunday September 9th.
To enter tell me who your favourite character in Pinocchio is and why. The two most interesting or amusing answers will win.

I adore Geppetto he was so lonely and has such a kind heart.
Jiminy Cricket because he is always so cheerful and happy and is there to guide Pinocchio in the right direction with what’s right and wrong.
I know it’s the Disney version, but I love Jiminy Cricket. I find the idea of an external, embodied voice of conscience to be quite intriguing and I always did, even as a kid!
since becoming a parent, I have a soft spot for Gepetto. poor old unappreciated man.
When I was little I used to become so frustrated with Pinocchio and how much trouble he got into but now I’m an adult I actually really adore him. I like to look at his defiance of the rules as an adventurous spirit. He is a perfect example of how to learn through your mistakes (and why you shouldn’t lie ;) ).
Favourite character, as voted by the Dad in our family, is Jiminiy Cricket because “he sings with those dancing feet” and Dad then went on to quote his favourite line ….
‘Lampwick: What? You mean to tell me you take orders from a grasshopper?
Jiminy Cricket: Grasshopper? Look here, you – you impudent young pup! It wouldn’t hurt you to take orders from your grasshop – er, your conscience, if you have one!’
… hmm I think he likes this one ;-D
Jiminy Cricket, wise little thing that he is. Although my children love Pinocchio for all his mischief he gets into.
Wish I lived in Melbourne so I could enter this, the kids would love to see Pinocchio!
Pinocchio, I think that growing nose could be marketed!!!
