Cough! Cough! Cough! If my kid doesn’t stop coughing I think I will lose my mind. Cough! Cough! Cough!
I know I am supposed to be more caring but I ran out of compassion at about 2am last night after two days and nights of constant coughing. No matter what we do, what medication we give her, what old wives tale we try, nothing seems to help, she just keeps on coughing.
And in sweet, painful, irony… The three year old slept in his bed for the whole entire night for the first time last night. Which should have meant that I had my bed all to myself for the entire night, except that I was sharing with Little Miss Cough Cough Cough.
In an attempt to distract myself from all that coughing here are some cool things I’ve found online this week:
1. This cake is made with whole oranges, yep, skin and all… I have to try this!
2. This made me laugh a lot more than I care to admit.
3. This is the first issue of Childhood101’s Play Grow Learn ezine that I have not contributed to. It’s pretty good despite that.
4. Do you like making stuff out of cardboard? Then this blog is for you.
5. Loved this look at Lego, gender issues and the new scientist minifig.
6. It’s become a tradition to take the big kids to the movies each school holidays. These holidays we are off to see Turbo! thanks to 20th Century Fox. I am trying to keep it a secret from the kids, but I am not sure I’ll manage it.
This competition is now closed. Congratulations to Sal, Susannah and Katrina.

I’d turbo charge queues – queues at the bank, grocery store, post office, anything that involves waiting in line!
Definitely the washing machine so it washes, dries, folds and even puts the clothes away!
myself so I could get the housework done really quickly
I would turbo-charge my Nan.. she takes all day to shop for 1 hour’s shopping!!
I would turbo-charge the cinema popcorn, mouth popping, body bouncing for the ultimate cinema experience.
WITH A THRILL-SEEKING HUSBAND, TWO MISCHIEVOUS, ACTION-PACKED SONS AND ONE INCREDIBLY ENERGETIC SIBERIAN HUSKY, IT WOULD DEFINITELY BE MY STAMINA THAT I’D TURBO CHARGE! IT’S GETTING HARDER EVERY DAY TO KEEP PACE WITH THEM ALL!!
My energy – I had loads of energy when I was younger but now that I have kids I feel I need my batteries replaced!
