Six for Saturday - 6 random links and loves

It has been a week peppered with The Miracle of One Less. Dance classes, play dates, swimming lessons, shopping trips… they have all altered the number of children in our house by one, or more, and I still marvel at how that changes the dynamics.

Those things also add to the frantic pace at which these weeks seem to be passing. The days are filled with a blur of child juggling, restocking the apple bowl, and trying to get laundry dry.

Here are a few things I’ve discovered as the day’s whizzed past me this week…

1. Love this super cute DIY crayon holder. It would make a lovely kid made present so.. um… don’t look friends who get Christmas presents from us!

2. This post is brilliant, if you have daughters, or even if you have sons… read it. How to Talk to your Daughter about her Body

3. We’ve been playing with stop motion animation on our ipad this week. My nine year old used the free app iMotion HD to make an animation for her project on the Australian Gold Rush and we found the sounds here. Then we all had a go with various Lego and toy animations. So much fun and not bad for a first go!

4. Who will make these cookies for me?

5. We were making art with foil this week while One Perfect Day was building with it! Gotta love foil.

6. I am going to get my sewing machine down from the top of the shed… really I am. And then I will sew something with shirring elastic, cause it’s fun.

Have you been able to stop long enough to find anything interesting this week?
