It always seems doable when you can look at it from a distance. It is only when all the things you have committed to, get all up close and personal, that you realise you might have bitten off more than you can chew.
I’ve got a lot of things getting right up in my personal space right now. I think I’ll be ok … if I can just stop procrastinating and start doing.
I need to make lists, allocate time and stay away from pinterest! And I need to remember that no matter how busy I get there is always time for a little fun.
Here’s some of the fun things I’ve discovered this week, while procrastinating!
1. An alphabet made up of photographs of city buildings and the sky… kinda cool hey?
2. Simple Bites Wholegrain Strawberry Banana bread is calling my name… even though it is not strawberry season.
3. Looking for some new things to do with your kids? Check out this list of 15 Amazing Kid Activity bloggers… well 14 + me, I don’t want to toot my own horn now!
4. I am putting together a PVC pipe construction set for my boys for their birthdays… well ok my Dad is doing it, but it was my idea!
5. This is a great list of ipad apps for reading and writing, including options for special needs and those struggling.
6. My kids have been desperate to see Epic ever since they first saw the trailer way back in the summer holidays. It has been a long wait but it is finally showing here and we have school holiday plans to go and see it!

Oooh, we’ve been wanting to see Epic since we heard about it’s coming release – back in the Christmas Holidays!
I think having children has been a pretty Epic change in our lives Kate :)
My partner and I travelled the world for almost 7 years before returning home to Australia to hopefully start our own business, buy a property and become fairly self-sufficient. All that changed within months when we got quite a surprise to find that we were pregnant! Now another 7 years on we have two littlies and our journey has taken on a very different direction. Wouldn’t change it for the world though ;) xx

Nine weeks traveling through Africa on the back of a truck, sleeping in tents was pretty epic!
I love reading your collection of links every week. I bet your boys will LOVE the PVC pipe construction set. And you are definitely an amazing kid activity blogger!
living in Africa and working at a children’s home was very epic as it set the pace for the rest of our lives, giving us a heart to work with people in third world countries. We now have projects running in India and are about to venture into Nepal – the whole journey has been epic!
Having 3 totally amazing kids who make every day an epic adventure and make it worth waking up too
I’d have to say the most “Epic” thing to happen in my life would have to be having my two gorgeous boys! Life doesn’t get any better when you’ve got kids to enjoy everyday!
My husband proposed at the top of Fox Glacier in New Zealand then piggy backed me most of the way down to save my blistered feet. I spent the rest of the day gazing at my new diamond and dreaming of the perfect wedding with ice packs on my feet. What an epic adventure!
My recent epic journey has been sequining the mother of all dance costumes … epic because while we would never ever do a pageant for moral reasons we both badly loved those ridiculous dresses and this costume is one, epic because I am not talented in the needle arts and it took soooooooo long and epic because A rocked out the routine, which is epic in making fun of precocious little entertainers and their stage mothers :D Was epic fun :)
hmmm ..giving birth to twins at 31 weeks and seeing their cords knotted together like a tangled ball of wool (we had no seperating membrane) was pretty epic!
Well. Could say my 2 kids have pretty epic personalities, but the fact their dad is away at sea for another 7 weeks (safe in Australian waters!) is of epic portions of patience !! Wish me luck, 2 weeks down! Thanks :)
The time from initial discussion with childcare, to diagnosis of autism, is an epic adventure, with part two now being written.
You’ll prob laugh but the most Epic thing thats happened to me was meeting Anthony Warlow when our daughter co starred in the musical Annie last year. We kinda bumped into him in the car park after the show one night, actually itcwas more akin to us chasing him through the carpark quietly!! Yeah!! With four kids in tow and then accidently!!! “Oh hello, its Anthony…” And would you mind pls if we have a photo with you?? :0)
Can you sign our book for us?? It was such a hoot!!! Our daughter had to drag me away “come on mummy, can we go home now that we’ve found Anthony for you?” What a treasure!! :0)
I did the 40 hour famine – I did 40 hours without the computer/internet. I almost died
