The week that was a few days late.

Ok so as you can see by the few and far between blog posts things have been a bit wild around here of late! Only my second week into my weekly round-ups and it is already Tuesday and nothing posted… so will launch into that now and fill you in on the rest later.

So last week….
What we did –
Monday we went to Weribee Park Zoo with Miss Tracey. The girls really were a bit too sick to go but we couldn’t not see ‘Twacey’ when she was here and they seemed happy enough, so off we went. We had a great day in the end but paid for it later. The girls were enthralled by the bus ride (first time they had been on a bus) and it was sooooooooo good to chat to Trace again face to face… but I always come crashing down on the drive home when I realise how much I bloody miss her.
Tuesday we cancelled the girls dentist appointment because the snot had turned to hacking coughs and wheezing so just went to Nanny and Bobo’s instead. Tried to do some shopping for winter clothes for us all with no success.
We had to miss the big ‘double one and a three’ birthday party as the germs had really taken over by Thursday and with Si sick as well I was in no mood to party.
We don’t really ‘do Easter’ so with everyone sick we just stayed around home, except for a quick trip up to the park to support the fundraising efforts of the locals for RCH’s Good Friday Appeal and lunch with Monnie on Sunday.

Words of the Week –
“I can’t eat it” – from Izzy usually followed by some bizarre reason like ‘it’s too fluffy’
“Burn the Suckers” which, thanks to my stellar parenting moment with the millipedes, has been the war cry around our house this past week.
“Doridee” is still getting a very good work out but since Si tried to get Zoe to say ‘Dori-THY’ she now often says “doridee-fee”

Highlights of the week –
Izzy deciding she would only walk around the zoo if she was holding Tracey’s hand… I love that the girls still love her even though we don’t see her much.
Seeing Nanny and Bobo again after their holiday and watching the girls dance around in their grass skirts and ‘boobies!’.

Sorry no photos from last week.. have a few from the zoo but nothing special and am just too tired to sort them out tonight.

Werribee Zoo is one of the next places we want to visit too, I hear it’s fantastic! Great to hear you caught up with your friend, it certainly sounds like you guys have a very special relationship, so always hang on to that. I love hearing about what your girls are saying, it’s so cute! Can’t wait until Caleb starts talking (I think?!), he’s trying hard to say ‘shoes’ at the mo, but it’s sounding more like ‘its’!! Go figure!
