You Know It’s Going Be a Bad Day…

Posted on July 27, 2011 18 Comments

You know it’s going be a bad day when the thermometer in your ‘kitchen’ says it is minus 2 degrees, but your children still insist on eating breakfast before school.

You know it’s going be a bad day when you discover the baby licking the butter dish, which I’m sure had quite a large chunk of butter on it a second ago.

You know it’s going to be a bad day when you discover a mouse, or two, has been making a cosy little home in your chest of drawers, and has eaten a hole through the sleeves of your three favourite cardigans!

You know it’s going to be a bad day when you slice your hand on the foil box and bleed all over a week’s worth of school lunches.

You know it’s going to be a bad day when your boy empties his gumboots in the middle of the living room floor… and they are full of muddy water!

Are you having a bad day? Feel free to share!

You know its a bad day when you have surgery during the school holidays while your husband is working in another country and then your daughter gets tonsillitis and bronchitis….sheesh.

oh crap. hate those days. had a half one this morning then gave up and let it all go and just did whatever the kids wanted and it ok now while they rest doing no doubt unsavoury things that I am choosing not to care about or will deal with later and drink tea, eat chocolate caramel slice I went WAY out of my way to get and read about your misery. Hope you had a turn around or at least a bit of peace and quiet. If not, perhaps try that screaming in a pillow thing. I haven’t tried it but by god it sounds good sometimes!
    go well

With all my best mama power I wish that for you. You never know, today just might turn around. TO cheer you up. my two year old just refused his fish oil post recieving it into his mouth. Hmm. I wonder how many days until we don’t smell like fish. hmm, till the house doesn’t smell like fish. aaaaaah. long breath out…

Nothing compared to yours! I had pee on the carpet, crying whining & bickering, getting lost & going in the wrong direction on the freeway but that’s what chocolate is for…days like this!

Number one child dawdling all morning making us late for school….street packed full of cars and it takes 10 minutes just to get out of your own driveway complete with 57 point turn to get the people-mover out of the driveway….baby crying all day because of needles the day before….daughter draws all over the suede lounge with textas her big brother stashed away somewhere but she still managed to find….there’ll be more once I pick Number One up from school in 10 minutes, I’m sure.

Feeling your pain….hoping your day improves xoxo

Wow, sounds like a doozie. We had a surprisingly good day today, but a shocker can show up at any time. Wishing you a good night’s sleep and a much, much better day tomorrow!

Kids took forever to get ready this morning so late to work. Mammoth day at work. Home to 1 year old teething. It may be a long night (or he might just get into bed with Mum and Dad). However I will cheerfully put up with it all since I don’t have to deal with mice! Thanks for putting it in perspective :) Hope tomorrow is better!
