Potatoes and more…

January 26, 2009

home grown potatoes.
Today we are turning the above potatoes into potato salad to share with friends who are coming for an early Australia Day dinner.

We grew all those potatoes! They had a hard life those little potatoes, what with frosts getting them early on, then lack of water, then the weeds simply took over. So when we dug up one end of the potato patch yesterday we were pleasantly surprised with our hall. I can’t remember exactly what kind of potatoes they are, but they have a lovely pink skin and a creamy centre and really do have a waxy feel to them when I cleaned them up. I’ll let you know what they taste like!

Happy Australia Day.

Wow, I am jealous of people who can grow things! I want a veggie garden too! Is it too late to start one at this time of the year? Probably… off to Google (how would I live without Google LOL?)
