A Quick Biscuit Recipe Round-up.
The start of another school week and another round of school and kinder (preschool) lunches and snacks to be made.
I try hard not to buy too many pre-made snacks and treats for school lunches. I’m no snack saint, I have a stash of sweet biscuits for those days when I just can’t be bothered, but it’s so much cheaper to make our own sweet treats and I hate to spend money if I don’t have to!
Biscuits (aka cookies if you live on the other side of the world) are my go to lunch box snack. They are easy to make, easy to pack and everyone loves them.
Here’s a few of our favourite biscuit recipes…
Big Fat Choc Chip Cookies – these are the best!
Cornies – made with cornflakes and a favourite from my childhood.
Hundreds of Biscuits.. or tweak the recipe a little and make Thousands of Biscuits! And you can freeze the dough!
Snickerdoodles – these are best eaten warm from the oven, but they are pretty good in lunch boxes too.
Honey and Spice Cookies – these are slightly soft, or crunchy if you cook them a bit longer.
Fruity Oatmeal Cookies – my big boy and I declared these the best biscuits we’ve ever made!

My all-time favourite biscuit recipe is Macadamia Wholemeal Shortbread: http://witcheskitchen.com.au/macadamia-wholemeal-shortbread-cookies/. They’re easy, fast, healthy, and soooo good.
We still make your ginger biscuits all the time, and they never last longer than a couple of days.
I read this post on my phone yesterday (doesn’t like to let me comment) and have popped back today to print out some recipes. Trying those bigfatchockiechip ones first :) Thanks Kate.
Great collection. The fruity oatmeal are on my to try list!
