A Week in the Life of Us
This post is dedicated to the greatest Aunt that ever lived.
Saturday:
We were up bright and early for a quick jump on the jumping pillow at Big4 Bellarine before we headed off to see a fab Lego display. After a spectacular birthday cake lunch we hit the swimming pool then headed out for a calamari dinner.
Sunday:
Big4 pedal carts were loads of fun, then lunch at the beach and an afternoon with ‘The Greats’. Then we headed into the city to see the fabulous Circus Oz. Everyone was snoring by the time we got home.
Monday:
Morgan turned five! A scooter and a biiig container of play dough waited at breakfast for the birthday boy to wake up. The girls went off to school (late) and Morgan went driving to the Grampians with Dad. The house was quiet with just Noah and I but we managed to fill our days cooking 50 cupcakes before ballet madness hit after school.
Tuesday:
Noah turned two! A very noisy lawn mower (what was I thinking?) and some cool cars and a plane waited for the birthday boy. We decorated those 50 cupcakes and sent 30 of them to kinder with Morgan. After school we opened the biiig container of play dough!
Wednesday:
Kinder in the morning, then Morgan rode his scooter into the walls while Noah tried to steal it until Dad took them outside for a scoot/ride. Someone taught Noey how to make the most hideous noise with his lawn mower and I contemplated finding a sharp implement to disable it but, so far I have resisted the urge. After school – more play dough.
Thursday:
After installing the girls at school and Morgan at kinder, Noah and I headed over the hill to play with our friends while Free Range Shae hit the toy sales. Then it was my turn, and while I missed out on the Lego bargain of the year I walked away with the next few family birthday presents and even some Christmas presents… in June! Who am I?? After school they got out the Magic Sand…I am sure whoever invented that stuff is sitting back and laughing at all the luminous grit that is still all over my dining room.
Friday:
The last day of term… yay! Celebrated by cleaning the house and having friends for dinner. Nothing like a good chat and a bit of Ella Enchanted.
What was this week like for you?
Did anything momentous happen? Anything funny? Anything exciting?
Oh my goodness! They certainly grow up fast don’t they! :-)
what a fun filled week :) Happy birthday big boy xx
