Back

Did you notice it’s been a little light on in the word department around here of late? I haven’t just been slack this past week and a bit, well I have but I have a good reason for it. We snuck up north for a bit of a holiday and I have been computer free for the past week and a bit! Before you keel over in total shock and amazement and wonder how I have managed to go cold turkey on my computer/net/blog addiction and not murder a member of my family, you will be pleased to know that I have been way too busy to even think about it!

The main reason for our trip to Queensland was to visit our friends and their new baby. Some of our most favourite people in the whole world moved to Queensland a few years ago and we miss them terribly. We managed to head up for a visit for the Twinadoe’s third birthday and I’ve been trying to come up with a way we could go again ever since. Thanks to my Dad’s frequent flier points and my Mum’s grandchild addiction the kids and I flew up with my Mum and the Baldy Boy drove up and met us there and we spent 8 glorious days enjoying good company and sunshine.

We stayed in a great apartment in Caloundra (Sunshine Coast) right on the lake/beach, opposite a park, with a pool and only a few minutes walk from our friend’s. We crammed in a lot of paddling, swimming, eating, playing, a few trips around the place and most of all lots of time with our friends.

I seem to have a bad effect on my good friends as a little less than a year ago another set of good friends also moved to Queensland (yes I have a complex about it, so lets not discuss it). It was great to also get to spend a little time with them, and I even got to finally meet the ‘wordy’ Miss Dee, and her two gorgeous girls, who are just as lovely in person as they are via MSN.

So for the last few days while you have been reading my pre-blogged posts (and thanks for all the nice comments too, it’s been fun to wade through and read them all this morning!) I’ve been living it up in Queensland and wondering how I can convince the Baldy Boy we need to move.

I need to charge the camera batteries and download the photos, so I promise to do that now and I’ll blog some photos over the next few days. From now on it should be back to blogging as normal, though I think it may take me a few weeks to catch up on all the blogs in my feed reader!!!
