Do you ever wonder?
Do you ever wonder how if you had made a different choice about one little thing… how different your life might have been?
My ‘Back-up Guy’ got married on the weekend.
My lovely, wonderful, sweet, too nice for his own good, very close friend married an equally wonderful girl at a very laid back but beautiful ceremony in the St Kilda Gardens. The sun came out just in time (and caught all of us a tad unprepared!) and my girls did so much better than I expected taking up the rings! It really was a pretty perfect day… and just so… I dunno.. just made me smile to see someone I care about so happy, despite all the ups and downs in the time I have known him.
He and I have a funny history though. We met the same time I met my husband… and if he hadn’t have been ‘too nice for his own good’ I would have probably ended up going out with him instead of Baldy Guy. Ironic really because Baldy Guy wasn’t nearly as nice then as he is now (it has taken years of work on my part to mould him! LOL)… though Back-up Guy was way too nice and I don’t think it would have ever worked out between us… we are much better friends.
But still I wonder… if I had ended up with ‘Back-up Guy’ (have to come up with a new name for him now!) instead of Baldy Guy… wonder how different my life would be. Would I live in Sydney (that is where Back-up Guy lives) because I don’t think I’d like to live in Sydney? Would I have had twins? Would I be the sort of person I am now?
Not that I will ever know… but it does make me wonder…
Anyway.. I am without a ‘Back-up Guy’ now so am back on the market looking for a nice friendly single guy who will be my back up if I ever get fed up with Baldy Guy… anyone know of any likely candidates? LOL
Ohhh been waiting to hear about the wedding! Glad the sun came out for you all :D
I never had a back up guy but am starting to wonder if I should invest in one ;)
How did you wear your hair?? All the important questions here LOL
lol you greedy girl, wanting a baldy and a back up too!! :)
it’s great to see friends special moments hey? :)
*giggle*, this post is funny!
Firstly, the girls look adorable, but MORE PHOTOS please. :-)
Your wondering is often what I wonder sometimes, and not just about back-up guys, but all sorts of things. Have you ever seen Sliding Doors? Good movie, and pretty much about the same thing – had you made different choices how different your life could be.
So good to hear you all had a wonderful day, except for the slight interruption in the middle. ;-)
ooh, I miss my “back up guy”, he died about 5yrs ago “sniff sniff” :(
Post more pix, so we can see how gorgeous you looked!
