You can use these Easter basket maths printables with the Easter eggs that are included in the set, or you could use play dough to make the eggs you add to your Easter basket, or try some other fun manipulatives such as these super cute Easter egg mini erasers or these fun egg shaped porcupine balls, or even some chocolate eggs! You could also laminate the basket pages and use a dry erase marker to draw the eggs in your basket.

How to Play the Easter Basket Maths Game.

This is a low-prep, quick and easy, maths activity to set up. Simply print out the Easter basket page of your choice ( A simple counting page for beginners, or the addition page to challenge older kids), cut out the eggs (or use playdough or another manipulative instead) find some dice, and you are ready to play.

If you are playing the counting Easter basket game, simply roll the dice to find out how many eggs to put in your basket. Then count out the eggs and pop them in the basket!

If you are playing the addition Easter basket game you’ll need two dice. Roll both dice and put one in each circle to make an addition sum. You can encourage your child to put the number of eggs shown on each dice into the basket and then count all the eggs together to get the answer. Or you can count the dots on the dice to get the answer and put the total number of eggs in the basket. Or older children can do the addition sum in their heads, then count out the eggs to check they are correct. There is a space to write the answer if you wish.
