Failure – Real Life Wednesday

Fail
Sometimes life is all kinds of Fail.

Yes, Fail, with a capitol ‘F’.

Crafty projects – Lets make these cool gluey sun catchers… except our glue didn’t dry clear so they don’t as much catch the sun and shut it out completely.

Baking – Not enough honey so lets just add a little more sugar to those muesli bars… except that turned the syrup into toffee that set into a single hard blob the minute it hit the dry ingredients.

Playing – Lets tape a crayon to a car and drive and draw at the same time… except the bloody crayons just wouldn’t stay stuck.

Parenting – Sure, go outside and play with a little bit of water… except what I think of as a ‘little bit’ and what they think of as a ‘little bit’ are two terribly different things.

Yep, sometimes I fail so spectacularly I can’t figure why I ever thought it was a good idea in the first place.

Had any awesome failures lately? Care to share?

    1. I’m failing at sleep, but it’s not my fault. Or anyone’s fault really. Just life as it stands right now LOL <- if I don't laugh I'll cry (and sometimes do).

      1. How’s that for a fail… post your linky post without adding the actual linky!!! LOL
Ah I am so with you… if you can’t laugh you’ll cry!

    2. Oh I read that post on the ipad last night and smiled and commiserated right along with you! Sometimes it’s only a semi-fail, or an uncertain-fail…. because nothing is all bad right?

    3. Mine’s not recent, but I failed at it twice and wasted a heap of sugar and butter in the process. Good times!

    4. Hehee! I’m not laughing at you, Kate. I’m laughing with you. I mess up so often. Many, many fails here in any given week. lol It means we’re REAL!

    5. Thanks so much for this post!!! I often feel a ‘failure’ since becoming a parent as pretty much everything I try and do doesn’t work!! Thanks
