First Day.

Posted on February 1, 2010 23 Comments

The Twinadoes headed off to their first day of school today.

Decked out in their brand new uniforms and lugging their HUGE backpacks, I dropped them off at their classroom and that was that. I think they both nodded when I told them to have a good day, but I’m not sure either of them stopped to say good bye.

I dragged Muski away with the promise of a biscuit at the parent’s club morning tea, had a quick chat with the principal regarding allergies etc and we came home. I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was all very low key, relaxed, easy and somewhat of an anti climax!

They are only at school till lunch time all this week, and no Wednesdays till March, so it will be a nice easy transition from holiday to school. It will be interesting to hear how they went when I go and pick them up in a little while, and even more interesting to see if I can get them to go to sleep before 11pm tonight!

Hope the girls have fun for their first day!
I was talking to a lady from my mother’s group on the weekend and mentioned that I knew somebody who had twins who was starting prep this year… she asked your name and thinks that she went to ante natal aqua classes with you when you were pregnant with the girls!
Small world! Does it sound right to you? Would have been a long drive for you to go to that place though (in Bacchus Marsh).

Yay for anit-climax! I hope they’re just as happy when you pick them up – as I’m sure they will be.

Mitchell will be jealous of those uniforms – his favourite colours are green and white :)

How exciting, and they look fabulous! I sent Jordan off to his first day of high school today and it was also an anti-climax. He wasn’t fazed at all! I barely even managed to get him to let me take a photo!

Hey Kate, your girls are looking so grown up!! They look just lovely in their school uniforms – I hope they had a great day :)

Is the school age different in Vic than NSW or am I remembering wrong that the twins are a little older than Adam? Adam started school last year, just after he turned six…all those years ago when Ash started school, she was only five :(. She is off to high school next year…I can hardly believe it!!
